Ann Vermilion moved back to her hometown of Marion, Indiana from a large city for family reasons. She now works as the administrative director of community outreach at Marion General Hospital. Vermilion is heavily involved in numerous community organizations, including serving as the campaign chair for the United Way of Grant County since 2010. Vermilion's advertising experience from previously working in marketing has helped her in her role with the United Way to explain their mission. Though she has received other job offers, Vermilion feels content working at MGH and being actively engaged in the Marion community.
