New Coke is making a comeback
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – 14 October 2015 – The Coca-Cola Company is pleased to announce the expansion
of our brand family, we will be adding NEW Coke.
Consisting of a completely new formula, produced by top chemists at Coca-Cola, and a can design which
will feature different quotes said by those helped by the Coca-Cola Foundation.
The Coca-Cola Foundation is playing a key role with NEW Coke, as there will be monthly charity events in
which NEW Coke will be supporting along with the Foundation beginning in November 2015. Coca-Cola
stated that the release date for NEW Coke to be available to the Public is Friday, October 30, 2015.
“We wanted to change things up”, says Muhtar Kent, CEO of the Coca-Cola Company, “and really focus
on our consumers and fans. It is personal expression, you can be new every day! It is this idea mixed
with the sensation of a sip of New Coke that makes brings it all together. NEW Coke is unlike any Coca-
Cola has done before, both in and outside the can.”
The idea behind NEW Coke’s can with quotes is to inspire people, make them laugh, and show what
those positively influenced by the Foundation are saying and how their words may make your day.
Coca-Cola cares about the impact of positivity and happiness in the life of everyone and NEW Coke
allows you to be a NEW you each day.
“NEW Coke, new you! It is a whole new formula which will tingle your senses in a whole new way”, says
Tom Malone, NEW Coke Product Manager at the Coca-Cola Company.
NEW Coke will be available in most super markets, convenient stores and restaurants on the date of
release.
