A hybrid neural network and neuro-fuzzy system model was developed to forecast weekly electricity spot prices in Brazil. The model combines the forecasts from an artificial neural network with the original inputs in a neuro-fuzzy system to generate the final forecasts. Six models were created to specialize in forecast horizons of 1 to 6 weeks ahead. Various neural network structures were tested to select the best performing models. The hybrid approach aims to incorporate the advantages of both neural networks and neuro-fuzzy systems for improved forecasting performance.

Helping users form an effective mental model of the system: what different devices do, and how they are interconnected. When is it appropriate to explain the system model – how things actually work – and when to simplify so they don’t need to concern themselves with technical details?
Effective composition: distributing functionality between devices, to suit the capabilities of the devices and context of use.
Appropriate consistency: how to determine which elements of the design should (and should not) be consistent across different interfaces, considering e.g. terminology, platform conventions, aesthetic styling and interaction architecture.
Continuity: how patterns of connectivity unique to IoT can cause discontinuities in the UX between devices, and how to handle these in the design.

IoT Hand-Sanitizer
This document describes an IoT-based smart hand sanitizer dispenser. It uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect hands and dispenses sanitizer from a pump. An ESP8266 connects the device to the internet. The objectives are to create an automated sanitizer that can detect liquid levels and refill itself. It will send notifications about the bottle status and reminders to sanitize. Software includes Firebase, NodeMCU, and Python for machine learning to predict emptiness. Hardware consists of ultrasonic sensors, motors, relays, batteries. Members will work on Android and software programming, hardware testing and control. The team has started circuit design and plans to test and build a prototype while further studying programming aspects.

Wearable technology
Wearable technology incorporates computer and electronic technologies into clothing and accessories. It allows for portability, convenience, and health monitoring through sensors. Virtual Reality in AEC
Virtual reality models can be used in cleanroom design to visualize the design before construction begins. VR models are created using IFC files from BIM models, allowing designers to experience the space with little extra work. Functionality prototypes for VR cleanroom design include teleporting, moving equipment, and accessing equipment information from external databases. Future developments include multi-user environments, lighting analysis, sound simulation, and integrating real-time data from sensors. BIM information can also be used to create digital twins that update the virtual model based on real-world data for facilities management.

We will explore the capabilities of AI in understanding XML markup languages and autonomously creating structured XML content. Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
