This document outlines a short film pitch about how a chance encounter between two shy teenagers, Noah and Alice, results in them unintentionally traveling back in time to relive the same day in order to meet. The film would follow their parallel days and show them passing by each other twice before reliving the day and finally meeting when they are both called to the same place but arrive late. Key details about the characters, planned timeline of events each minute, importance of sound design, and target teenage audience are provided.
2. Narrative
◦ ‘The Butterfly Effect’ – how one small change in events can result in a drastically different outcome.
◦ The character encounters a problem and is unhappy with the result of the situation. They then
unintentionally travel back in time to moments before the problem occurs and are given a second
chance to do something different in order for the result of the situation to be different.
◦ Situation – a chance meeting that may never have happened.
◦ Both characters keep walking past each other but have never interacted. One day they are both called
to the same place at the same time but still do not meet. Character A goes home and goes to sleep.
When they wake up, they realise they are reliving yesterday again. They are called to the … again but
this time, they are late. Both characters meet as they are destined to.
