This study aims to characterize different soil types and evaluate the effect of organic manure and chemical fertilizers on physical soil properties and plant growth. The objectives are to identify easily measurable soil properties, characterize soils by applying various fertilizers, and improve poor quality soils for crop growth. The methodology involves selecting soil samples, measuring properties like pH, planting crops in pots with different soil and fertilizer treatments, and monitoring germination and growth rates to compare crop performance based on soil properties and amendments. The goal is to better understand soil-crop interactions and promote sustainable soil usage.
