Under water there were around 554 000
ha in 2157 cities, town and villages.
Over 30 000 people were evacuated.
15. Whirlwind in Bydgoszcz 2011
It was on 30th June 2011 in
Bydgoszcz.
The speed of the wind was over 100 km
per hour.
Tornado damaged tin roofs of many
garages.

In 2010 there were over 1300 lanslides
in Małopolska region.
Over 1000 houses were totally
destroyed and 500 people were displaced.

29. Hurricane „Ksawery” 2013
Hurricane „Ksawery” – Orkan - was in December
2013. It ravaged several European countries
including the UK, Netherlands, Germany and Poland.
Hurricane Xavier resulted in Poland in five deaths,
53 people were injured and more than 500 thousands
customers remained without electricity.
Hurricane Xavier and related snowfall paralyzed
traffic on the roads in many provinces. Drivers
stood there in kilometer traffic jams.
