Larry Ketterly uses fear gas to put Helena under his control. Dinah and Barbara work to free Helena from his influence through her fears and insecurities. Helena kills Ketterly in her mind, snapping out of the trance. They take Ketterly to Arkham Asylum, where Dr. Harleen Quinzel kills him, angry that he failed her plans. Batman watches from a distance, sad that he is not yet ready to reveal himself as Helena's father.

Teaser: In the Ketterly home, Helena sits in the room very quietly as if she is
interested in what Mr. Ketterly is saying. He begins to speak but hesitates and .
takes a sip of his tea as he continues to look up at Helena and smiles at her a bit
before he talks.
Ketterly
"You really want to know what happened in the dockyard Helena? Do you? A piece
of Gotham in the past, a part of our history. We lost a great leader, but from ashes
where he fell, we're going to raise again. We're going to build an empire that will

2. make the world tremble. Or something like that. I was always a little fuzzy on the
details, I am more a big picture kind of guy. But enough about me, and my plans. Its
time to tell me Helena...what are you afraid of"
An unresponsive, Helena drops her tea cup, which smashes on the floor.
FADE OUT
Act IV
1. INT. A STREET IN GOTHAM ESTABLISHING (NIGHT)
Down the street is a purple and black Bat-mobile type car. Behind the wheel is
Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. She has a communication piece in her ear while she talks,
and touches the button on the device.
(Groans) Barbara Gordon
"Damn it, she is not answering Dinah, just get there as soon as you can, all right?"
Dinah Lance (V.0.)
"I'm on my way Barbara"
Barbara uses a Bat mobile device to project her voice and hear Helena‘s voice. She
hears the fading and rippling effects of what's going on between Ketterly and
Helena.

(Groans) Barbara Gordon
"Helena, it's me, Babs. Listen and focus on what I am saying to you
and we WILL win this battle"
2. INT. IN KETTERLY'S HOME CONTINUING
Helena Kyle is sitting, caught up in a deep trance. Larry Ketterly who is sitting in
the room with her, talks to her while slowly taking something out of his pocket that
looks like a mask.

3. HEADSHOT
Ketterly
"I must say Helena, you caught me off guard and I am impressed. It doesn't usually
take this long for anyone to spill something to me. Your mind is young but strong.
But please Helena, tell me what is bothering you. Your mind belongs to me..."
They stare into each others eyes as Ketterly is in control. Helena looks Larry into
the eyes, never taking her eyes off him and begins to speak.
Helena
"My...my mother died. I failed her and everyone else"
Ketterly pulls the same mask out of his pocket. The mask has two ripped holes that
are huge, designed as scarecrows. Putting it on, Ketterly takes out a hand held fear
gas sprayer from a box and walks towards Helena.
Ketterly
"To love someone and lose them is hard but we all must move on right?"
3. EXT. KETTERLY HOME - CONTINUING (NIGHT)
Dinah arrives at the home on her motorcycle, dressed in a skintight black outfit with
fishnet stockings, and a jacket. Getting off she runs up to the French doors. Trying
to lift the handle, but they are locked up.

Dinah Lance
"I guess fighting the bad guys mean that there will be hurdles that will get in my
way sometimes, no worries"
Dinah stands back, closing her eyes, breathing in and breathing out. Opening her
eyes, she lets out a high pitched sonic scream. It shatters the glass pane, as Dinah
quickly twists the lock to let herself in.
4. INT. KETTERLY HOME - CONTINUING NIGHT

4. Holding the hand held gas spray fear item, Helena starts to spray herself as Dinah
runs into the doorway.
(Looking at Helena & Ketteryly)Dinah Lance
"Helena!"
Dinah dashes at them as Ketterly spins around and shakes his head
Ketterly
"Well, well well, what do we have here? A pretender trying to get in way?"
Ketterly delivers a round house kick to Dinah's head. Dinah drops to her knees.
(Shows a too bad face)Ketterly
"Aww, another little girl down. Who's next?"
Suddenly a birdarang, shaped as a bird hits Ketterly in the head. It causes him to
drop to the ground. It's Barbara in her wheelchair as she moves over to Helena,
taking the handle of the spray, pulling it away.

Barbara
"Surprise, that makes that three of us"
Barbara checks on Helena to make sure she is all right . Helena is in a trance,
continuing to stare into space.
Barbara
"It's me Helena, let me take this away from you because it will end this madness"
Ketterly starts to get up slowly. Barbara is trying to take the gas can from Helena.

5. (Groans)Ketterly
"Oh no you won't. It won't matter how hard you try, she won't be able to hear you"
(Looks and glares at Ketterly before looking at Helena)Barbara
"Come on Helena"
Ketterly smiles in a sick way as blood is on his forehead. Dinah wakes up with a
knot on her head, as she appears next to Barbara ; and tries to take the spray can
from Helena.
Ketterly
"Well she won't listen to you but she'll listen to me"
(Glares and stares at the three women)Ketterly
"Oh no you won't be taking that can!"
The can slips from Helena's hand as she stares straight ahead, to the middle of the
room. It explodes as the gas spreads across the room, as Dinah and Barbara
covering there mouths, coughing a bit. Barbara covers Helena's mouth as she
coughs as well. Suddenly, it's red and black New Gotham.

Helena is standing in a store, looking into distance along with her friends who are in
different stores.
Dinah
"She can't hear me Barbara but maybe she will listen to you"
Barbara is in another store, in her Batgirl costume, looking at Helena. Barbara see’s
a fourteen year old Helena, sitting on a bench in front of that store. As Helena points
a knife to her chest, Barbara rolls up in her wheel chair, removing her mask.
Barbara
"Helena, it's me, Barbara"

6. (Frowns and looks sad) Helena
"I have failed them all Barbara"
Barbara
"How so? You were just a kid back then Helena, there couldn't have been anything
you could of done to help"
(Shaking her head) Helena
"Heroes are just make believe to save people. I am no hero, I just failed those who
needed me"
(Shakes her head) Barbara
"I'm am not a hero either Helena. This is the life, that I and others chose. There are
risks that come with it. This is not a one person job, it is a team effort. We rise
together and fall together, and we will never fall, trust me"
Barbara gets the knife away from Helena, who collapses in her arms. Ketterly is in
a dark trench coat and a black hat and is walking towards them.

Ketterly
"I believe that you and the others don't belong here"
Barbara is in the store again but with no masks, but away from Helena.
(smirks) Ketterly
"You don't have no legs, you are no longer Batgirl. How can you even save the entire
world?"
Barbara falls from her wheel chair as she tries to strike Ketterly with her hand.
Ketterly grins, coming towards her and grabs a special sharp straw. Suddenly,
Helena grabs Ketterlys arm, and she is in her fighting clothes.

7. Helena
"You don't make that decision anymore...I do"
The two of them start to fight using their styles of martial arts and kung fu. Taking a
step back, Ketterly slices a piece of her jacket with his sharp straw. Blocking his
move of hitting her under the jaw, she back flips, kicking him in the knee. She
delivers another kick to the knee. She kicks him in the other leg. Ketterly takes out
another sharp straw running at Helena. The two punch each other and kick each
other, as the fight continues
Doing his best to slice her, Helena sidesteps and dodges out of the way. He tries to
stab her in the stomach but Helena blocks it as they hold each others wrists as a
battle of who is the strongest begins. Ketterly delivers three punches and a kick to
Helena's stomach, after backhanding her, throwing Helena across the streets into a
store. She crashes to the ground but lands softly, Ketterly turns to Barbara who is
crawling, trying to do help Helena.
Then Ketterly heads towards Helena, he takes out another weapon. Suddenly some
huge wall crashes open with Helena coming through. Ketterly is showered with
debris, as he falls on the ground. Ketterly gets the upper hand and uses his strength
to his advantages, straddling her while she is on the ground. He tries to force the
straw and the knife to her chest but her upward momentum keeps him from
succeeding.

(smirks) Ketterly
"Why bother Helena? Do you think this will change anything once our battle is
over? You'll be the one still alone no matter what happens!"
(Shakes her head) Helena
"Guess what? It's my life and I decide what happens to me and how I want to live
my life!"
Helena turning his wrist, causes the knife to point upwards towards him, pushing it
through his chest. Dropping on the floor, he rolls over and off her, dead. Barbara
starts to raise her body up as Dinah helps to support her. Helena walks towards
them extending her hand and puts it over theirs as the woman are united as one.
The room goes back to normal.

8. 5. INT. KETTERLY HOME - LIVING ROOM NIGHT CONTINUING NIGHT
The women are snapped out of their respected trances. Barbara takes the knife from
Helena, who is relieved to just let it go. The three look over at Ketterly, who is
slumped on the floor, obviously not moving. He's bleeding from the cut on his
forehead.
(Shakes her head) Helena
"What's wrong with him? Did I do too much damage? Did I kill him?"
Barbara
"He said something about his mind was in yours. Maybe when you killed him he lost
control of your mind, but you destroyed his mind Helena"
(Shrugs her shoulders) Helena
"Oh well, serves him right for getting in my head. I hate it when something like that
happens"

(Mumbles and smirks)Barbara
"Like father, like daughter"
Dinah walks over to him and bends down, looking into his eyes, she then looks at the
other women.
Dinah
"So what are we going to do with Ketterly?"
6. EXT. ARKHAM ASYLUM - NIGHT
Outside of the night skies, the thunder crashes and the lightning strikes. We see the
tall, big, gloomy and gothic insane asylum exterior.
7. INT. ARKHAM - CHAMBERS - NIGHT

9. Outside of the holding area, Detective Jesse Reese is on the phone talking to
Commissioner Jim Gordon.
(Nods his head) Reese
"Yes Ketterly is in the facility. Yes... you got it Commissioner Gordon. I am going in
there right now as we speak"
Ending the phone call , Reese comes into the room, standing next to Dr. Quinzel.
The two of them look at the glass chamber where Ketterly is standing in a straight
jacket, not moving or speaking.
Reese
"Someone dropped him at the station with a lot of...what can I say....bunch of crazy
evidence. We can't tell if he is that dangerous, that's why we brought him here to
you, Doctor Quinzel"

(Nods and looks at him, smiles) Dr. Quinzel
"Please detective, call me Harleen. We will take good care of him"
(Nods his head) Reese
"Harleen, I appreciate your time. I'll be in touch"
Reese and Harleen shake hands before he leaves. Dr. Quinzel walks down into the
inner chamber and to the glass hexagonal prison that Larry is standing in. Pressing
a button as a bright white light flips on, the door opens. She steps inside, facing
Larry as he says nothing.
(Shakes her head) Dr. Quinzel
"You know something Larry? I am very disappointed in you but I am not surprised.
Those dockyards should be mine Larry. In the words of Doctor Martin Luther King
Jr., I hard a dream. In New Gotham, the dream for me was people lying in the

10. streets in cold blood. I am the top dog in New Gotham, but thanks to you, it won't
happen"
He speaks, telling Dr. Quinzel that it was Helena and Batgirl, that snarled her plans
for the dockyard. Out of anger and disgust, Dr. Quinzel injects Ketterly with
medicine that will make it look like he had a heart attack. She has this evil look in
her eye.
(Shakes her head) Dr. Quinzel
"Yes I will still win Larry"
With a smirk and mischievous look in her eye, she leaves. Larry dies of heart attack
according to Dr. Quinzel.

8. INT. THE LAIR - NIGHT

Suddenly the computer board lights up alerting the team of the death of Larry
Ketterly, Barbara see’s what is on the computer and goes to inform the girls. Helena
was teaching Dinah her how to throw boomerangs.
Barbara
“Ketterly is dead girls, he had a heart attack. This could be the end of the dockyard
dilemma or on the other hand it could the beginning of a new dock yard dilemma.
But Dinah, there is going to be some ground rules for you..."
(nods her head) Dinah
"I'll do it, anything you want and it will be done"
Barbara

11. "As long as you go to school, work on your skills, both mental & physical...then you
can stay"
Dinah, excited as ever, hugs Barbara first, and then hugs Helena. Dinah finally feels
that she has found her place in the world.
9. EXT. OUTSIDE OF THE CLOCK TOWER (WAYNE ENTERPRISE)
Far away from them on another building called Wayne Enterprise was a man
dressed in a bat suit, holding a pair of binoculars in his hands. He see's Barbara,
Dinah, Helena and the clock tower. Seeing Helena, the man dressed in the bat suit
sighed sadly, seeing Helena Kyle, his daughter. The camera looks up...seeing Bruce
Wayne aka Batman as he takes off the binoculars.
Bruce Wayne (Batman)
"Soon Helena...soon...we'll meet again. I love you...."
Taking out his grappling hook, Batman presses a red button, as the Batwing flies by
him. At the same time the hook connects to the Batwing as Batman is lifted off the

rooftop and into the Batwing. Now he is inside the Batwing, behind drivers seat, and
leaving New Gotham, going back to his hiding place outside Gotham. The sad look
on his face indicates that he is not yet ready to meet his daughter, Helena. However
seeing her safe with his trusted ally, Barbara Gordon, Bruce felt that Helena would
never be alone which made him feel relieved that one day, Helena and Bruce will
reunite as father and daughter.
