The student teacher had a positive but challenging experience during her classroom teaching. She was initially nervous but found enjoyment in applying what she had learned. Her cooperating teacher utilized traditional teaching methods but encouraged the student teacher to develop her own strategies. While adjusting to new topics was difficult at first, the student teacher improved over subsequent weeks in managing the classroom independently and developing clearer instruction. The experience provided valuable lessons for developing teaching skills.
A narrative report on teaching experiences
Diosdado Macapagal High School is located in Sto. Domingo, Mexico, Pampanga. It was established in 2004 with 97 students and has grown significantly over the years to now serve over 1,368 students. The school aims to provide quality education through the cooperation of its administrators, teachers, parents, and community partners. It offers various academic and extracurricular programs throughout the year, including field trips, performances, and celebrations of holidays.

The use of infographics for classroom assignments is becoming commonplace in higher education, although less is known about its use in social work education. This workshop will review how three social work educators collaborated to develop, implement and evaluate an infographic assignment for courses across the social work curriculum. By the end of the session, participants will be able to recognize how infographic tools can be incorporated into assignments for social work courses, and understand how the use of social media as a teaching tool in undergraduate courses can be used to develop and assess social work competencies.

Where and what do you teach? I will be teaching in a Kindergarten Classroom in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What will they have learned or should be able to do prior to this activity? Prior to this activity students should be able to count to 20 without objects to connect the numbers to. What will the students do and learn? (Smart Objectives) The students will learn that numbers are made of parts. Recognize that a number can be used to represent how many objects are in a set or a sequence. What is the purpose of the PowerPoint? The purpose of the power point is for students to interact with the slides and count out numbers with objects representing them. Which part of the lesson will the PowerPoint anchor? The power point will help with the interactive part of the lesson. During the power point there are questions where students can raise their hands to volunteer and come to the computer and try to answer the question. How will you know they meet your objectives? Before and after the power point students will use actual objects to represent numbers at their desks to practice.
