Narrative for PowerPoint Project

State Standards Addressed
2.1.K.C

Who is your Audience?
The students that I am teaching are kindergarten children ages four to
six.

Where and what do you teach?
I will be teaching in a Kindergarten Classroom in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania.

What will they have learned or should be able to do prior to this activity?
Prior to this activity students should be able to count to 20 without
objects to connect the numbers to.

What will the students do and learn? (Smart Objectives)
The students will learn that numbers are made of parts. Recognize that a
number can be used to represent how many objects are in a set or a
sequence.

What is the purpose of the PowerPoint?
The purpose of the power point is for students to interact with the slides
and count out numbers with objects representing them.


Which part of the lesson will the PowerPoint anchor?
The power point will help with the interactive part of the lesson. During
the power point there are questions where students can raise their
hands to volunteer and come to the computer and try to answer the
question.


How will you know they meet your objectives?
Before and after the power point students will use actual objects to
represent numbers at their desks to practice.

What Risks did you take in the creation of this project?I believe a risk I
took with this project is involving an interactive section. I won’t know
how my students will respond with the technology because they are so
young.
