Introduction Statistics is important in understanding the information and communicating findings
to one another (Healey, 2015). I never paid much attention to statistics before because math has
always been my least favorite subject. I was very hesitant in taking this course but many people
assured me that I could succeed and that statistics is far more interesting than any mathematical
course I will ever take. Statistics is so relevant; the more I am noticing it because of knowledge I
have obtained from this course. For example, the article I will be discussing defines the differences
of gender and race within advertising (Plous Neptune, 1997). Statistics can be used to analyze the
amount of advertisements printed, the different gender and race of models, the year and percentage
amount of gender and race bias occurs, the percentages of the exposure different gender and race
models etc. I can t say that I completely understand statistics but I very much enjoyed this course
and when I read statistical information, I at least can analyze the information given rather than just
passing off random numbers. We often need a strong proof and thoughtfully analyzed data to build
and enhance our theory and understanding of something, which is what statistics provides to make

We were rowdy, and we had too much energy to just sit around quietly. My cousins, my brothers,
my sister, and I were all in my grandparents basement, hyped up on sugar cookies and gummy

probably the strongest in the southeast, that coyotes can be a significant predator for young
deer fawn. SCDNR completed a study at the Savannah River Site,SCDNR investigated the effect

production technique. By dyeing assembled garments made of unbleached wool rather than batches
of yarn before knitting, manufacturing time was trimmed and Benetton could produce garments
upon demand, which minimized the need to maintain an extensive inventory.
To produce many sweaters at reduced cost and financial risk, Benetton took advantage of an old
Italian cottage industry. Benetton farmed out labor intensive production knitting and sewing to
small, family owned companies (many owned in whole, or part, by Benetton management)
throughout northeast Italy. Employing advanced technology, these companies allowed Benetton to
manufacture in response to increased market demand both domestically and abroad with reduced
financial risk. About 80 percent of production was farmed out to 450 subcontractors who
employed about 20,000 workers in the Veneto region. The remaining 20 percent of value added,
capital intensive production quality control and cutting and dyeing was performed in house. By
1983 Benetton payments for contract work equaled nearly six times the labor expense for work

The Mexican Jumping Bean is indigenous to Mexico and has a peculiar life cycle. The process
begins when a moth (Cydia deshaisiana) lays its egg inside a plant (Sebastiania pavoniana) then

environment. We kept the jumping bean in a stable environment inside a petri dish for two mins

similar results. We then put the petri dish inside a cup of ice which lowered the temperature

will explain how use of geothermal resources can be energy efficient, environmentally clean, and
cost effective. I believe that the US government should increase funding for geothermal energy
