 Familiar in Seamless tube production by hot rolling and cold forming route and Familiar in Engine
valve production by upset and forging route.
 Handling heat treatment process:
 Practiced in developing spheroidization annealing heat treatment cycle design.
 Heat treatment process and product validation.
 Heat treatment furnace process monitoring and abnormal handling activities.
 Failure analysis of heat treated components and corrective measure initiatives.
 Coordinating furnace calibration and furnace validation activities and Internal process audit
by CQI standards.
 Handling metallurgical lab activities:
 Raw material inspection, heat treatment process verification, microstructure confirmation,
hardness verification of heat treated parts, and mechanical property verification like tensile
testing and impact verification.
 New product development activities:
 Deriving process parameters for heat treatment like hardening, tempering and solutionize
ageing for engine valve steels and Normalizig and speroidization annealing for low carbon
and alloy seamless steel tubes.
 Deriving process parameter for welding of engine valve components through friction stir
welding, hard facing of Co base powder materials by TIG & PTA method.
 Supplier quality assurance activities:
 Handling suppliers of engine valve surface hardening by liquid bath nitriding and chrome
plating through frequent supplier audit by VDA 6.3 method and CQI standards.
 Supplier rejection monitoring and defect analysis and rejection reduction by ensuring
corrective measures for the concerns.
 Quality assurance activities:
 Internal process and product audit of metallurgical process like friction welding, PTA and
TIG for engine valve components and hot rolling and cold rolling of seamless tube production.
 Monitoring of internal rejection by NDT methods and NDT audit and verification of process
and process measures.
 Customer complaint handling and taking corrective measures in process for the concerns
 Failure analysis of internal production of seamless tube making and engine valve making and
taking corrective measures for the problem.
 Internal and external audit non-conformance monitoring and ensuring zero NC in internal &
external audits.
 Part of Internal system audit team and monitoring of internal non-conformances.
 Overall coordinator for forge shop of engine valve production quality and heat treatment of
engine valves and seamless tubes.
 Certified internal quality management system (ISO & TS) auditor & Supplier Quality Inspection
activities.
 Experience in NDT techniques and practiced in NDT by liquid penetrant test, magnetic particle
inspection ultrasonic inspection by contact as well as immersion method.
 Experience in welding processes involving in engine valve manufacturing like friction stir welding,
TIG and PTA methods.
 Familiar with all microstructures of plain, medium carbon, low alloy and bearing (Like 100Cr6, SCM
415, etc) and stainless steels and engine valve steels and Hands on experience on equipment’s like
optical microscope, UTM, indentation hardness testers & millipore.
 Familiar with international standards like ASTM, ASME standards of low alloy & seamless tubes for
boiler applications.
 Customer complaint handling and analysis.
