Stress is very much evident in our everyday lives. As college students we encounter it daily through different circumstances. When we get too stressed-out our decision making becomes very very irrational and unreasonable. Stress can be related to aspects of your life such as work, school, family, finances, relationships, etc.
That’s why it’s very important to find time to de-stress after a very hectic day. It is necessary to recollect yourself and replenish your mind in order to be more critical and sensible. I find it very imperative to de-stress to avoid a cluttered mind. (SURVEY)
I want to share to everyone what I do to “de-stress” and at the same time work out.Every time I feel stressed out, I do yoga, Bikram yoga to be specific. There are many types of Yoga, and bikram yoga is just one of them. There are over 19 types of yoga
and the top 3 famous that most people practice are the Hatha yoga, Iyengar yoga and Bikram yoga or hot yoga.hatha yoga.It requires a lot of physical effort. a kind of forced Yoga or abstract meditation (forcing the mind to withdraw from external objects)Iyengar yoga focuses on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of postures, which aims to unify the body, mind and spirit. They do the posters longer than Bikram yogaBikram yoga is the most popular type of yoga. Its classes, which run for exactly 90 minutes, consist of 26 poses and two breathing exercises. Bikram practitioners perform their exercises in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

The top 3 benefits I got from it is Weight loss. because as we practice bikrm yoga, we sweat a lot because its in the heated room and As every fitness trainer knows, building muscle burns fat — doing the Bikram sequence in a hot room jump-starts this process.Mental clarity. As the body is cleansed, the mind is sharpened. Regular Bikram practice leads to improved mental clarity, clearing out the “fuzz in brain” caused by the modern world’s list of negative stimuli — traffic, stress, bad food, pollution, etc.Reduced stress. Perhaps one of the most significant Bikram yoga benefits is the increased connectivity with the body. The intense focus in the sequence causes the chatter of the mind to decrease. Also, with consistent practice, the muscle memory of taking deeper breaths carries over into daily life, automatically providing instant relief to the temporary stressors that plague our modern world.
So here is a preview of what we normally do in bikram yoga. Aside from the benefits I have stated awhile ago, doing bikram yoga is like having a clean slate because you meet new people and it’s your opportunity to have new friends.
