This document provides a summary of the author's experience from 1984 to 2015 working on various submarine cable network projects in locations around the world. It details 12 projects involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of submarine optical fiber cables and power cables. The author led teams and was responsible for marine surveys, permitting, cable deployment, installation of grounding systems and shore ends, splicing, testing and commissioning of over 1,500 km of submarine cables.

1. – 1984 – Total French Company: Project in Abu-Dhabi & Sarhja and Dubai,
With Comex Company and Les Cables de Lyon (ALCO) in charge for installation
of Submarine Cable Prototype of this composite cable power 20 kV with cable
pair’s 12 and Optical fiber 8 core. Off Shore between plate forms to plate forms
near boundary Iraq.
2. – 1992 - Pt. Indosat & International Consortium: Sea Me We 2. Optical Fiber
Submarine Cable System.(Earthing and Cable Installation at Ancol Jakarata)
3. – 1995 – Pt. Indosat: SKKL – JS, Jakarta Ancol – Surabaya Banyu -Urip.
Optical Fiber Submarine cable installation and shore end, Earthing cable System,
land cable installation from BMH to the Station.
4. – 1995 – Pt.Indosat, Telstra, Optus. JASURAUS Project, Optical Fiber
Submarine Cable, installation of Earthing System, Installation of cable Land
BMH to Station.
5. – 1996 – Pt. Telkom: Northern Route Project, Java – Bali and Java – Sumatra.
Optical Fiber Submarine system. Survey and Supervision of landing of cable,
installation of cable Land and splicing until commissioning.
6. – 1997 – Pt. Indosat: Sea Me We 3, Project Optical Fiber Submarine Cable.
Jakarta Ancol (Earthing System, installation of cable Land)
7. – 1998 – Pt. Telkom: Northern Route Project. Reparation of Submarine cable
damaged between Java and Bali. I involve for repair of Telecom cable with Pirelli
Cavi and France Telecom. Request the authorizations by local authorities, start
route survey with Pirelli by ship. Prepare submarine cable spare 5000 m on drum
cable transportation by route Jakarta – Bali, Removing existing cable damaged by
tiers and installation of new cable. Landing Submarine Shore end, Installation of
Cable Land, splicing & testing and commissioning with Pt.Telkom.
8. 1998 – Pt. PLN /Pirelli Cavi Company Installation of Power cable 150 kV single
core 6 cables or 2 circuits with pilots cables between Gilimanuk – Ketapang at
Java – Bali Shore end bolts sites.

2. 9. – 2006 – Pt.Tbk Indosat: Jakasusi and Jasutra Project. I m subcontractor of
(ASN) Alcatel Submarine Network. Details Surveys and permits, authorizations
on site for implementation of Beach Manhole and Earthing system in Java,
Borneo & Celebes and Sumatra In charge for installation of Earthing System,
cable Land and Optical fiber installation from BMH to the Indosat Station. Cable
markers installation in beach, Additional support services for ASN.
10. – 2007 – Alcatel Submarine Networks Indonesia: As built drawings for all
system Jakasusi and Jasasuka Project of 3 landing point.

Leading a team of 25 people in the Submarine cable division, responsible for:
Submarine cable deployment projects totaling more than 1.500 km of cables, including
marine survey, Desktop study, authorization permits, equipment purchasing, SITACS
locations and construction of BMH. Loading cable, main laid services, 8 shore-ends,
grounding system, Marine maintenance of B2JS and OSP more than 1200 km,
Construction of NOC, testing, commissioning, and more.
Reference Projects: B2JS (Jakarta – Bangka – Batam – Bintan – Singapore) submarine
cable deployment, JBCS Java – Bali (Negara – Muncar) JIBACS (Jambi – Batam) LTCS
(Luwuk – Tutuyan) Nord of Celebes.
Two years we got 15 cables cuts already restored by Pt Ketrosden Triasmitra. Telkom
operator such as Pt.Moratel, XL Axiata & Pt.Telkom Indonesia.

Responsible of marine deployment for repair of submarine cable cut
Location: Tahiti - Hawaii (French Polynesia)
Consultant of OPT Tahiti Papetee: Repair of submarine cable (sun fault) Installation of
new shore end changing some part of cable 580 m at Papenoo section Tahiti to Hawaii.
- 12) - 2015 – PLN.E consultant of Project Batam – Bintan Indonesia.
Cable Power 150 kV between Tanjung Kasam Batam – Tanjung Sauh Island 2 circuits
3340 m and Ngenang Island– Tanjung Taloh Bintan two circuits 5500 m
Responsible from PLN E of Marine deployment for Viscas consortium and cable
engineer for installation.Main lay service installation with Asian Protector from ACPL
Installation of cable by injector and rock saw. Shore end (8) and installation of concrete
covers protections less than 28 m water depth along 10700 m
Mounting and jointing two circuits & Sealing end (24) and testing until commissioning.
