UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION
(USP)
• A USP is a marketing strategy of informing a customers about how ones own
product or brand is superior to its competitors.
• It is a feature of a product that makes it different and better than other
similar product.
• It can be based on price, quality, service or any other values that makes the
customer choose your product over others.
HOW CAN USP CAN BE VERY USEFUL IN
INCREASING THE SALES OF ONE
PRODUCT/SERVICE
• Your USP focuses on your core strengths. It acts as the key differentiator for
your brand and revolves around what makes your brand/product so
distinctively valuable for your customers.
However, just creating a ‘unique’ USP is not enough. If you want your
messaging to have an extraordinary impact, it should focus on an aspect of
your brand/product that really matters to your target audience. This will
compel them to choose your brand/product over those of your competitors.
• To gain consumer acceptance, the product must possess value and
usefulness.
• Get feedback from customer on why they choose your product.
THE GUIDE LINES IN MAKING USP
• Determine your target customers. know what benefits you can
give if they buy your product.
• Think of ways in which you product can help solve their problems.
• To encourage people to buy your product, you can offer a
guarantee once they buy it.
For example:
they can return it or change the product if it malfunctions within
seven days from the date of purchase.

WHAT IS DIGITAL
MARKETING
• Digital marketing is a form of marketing that leverages the internet and digital
technologies, such as computers and smartphones, to connect with customers.
More than running a sponsored Instagram ad to drive sales, it's a set of practices
that interacts with customers at every stage of the buying journey.
• Digital marketing includes email, social media, advertising, and multimedia
messaging that is distributed through mobile and web. Over 60 percent of the
global population is online, and more people are joining them every day. That's why
companies are now increasing their digital marketing budgets by double-digit
figures while traditional marketing gets slashed.
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO)
Search engine optimization (SEO) is a technique that seeks to improve the ranking of online
material on search engines such as Google or Bing. If you have ever searched for something
on Google, you’ve likely noticed that even the simplest search can yield millions of results. Yet,
you probably rarely go past the first few suggestions, let alone the next page.
In such a highly crowded space, digital marketers use SEO to ensure that potential customers
actually find their products or services online. Some common ways to go about SEO include:
Creating quality content that meets searcher intent.
Using keywords to help search engines identify relevant material.
Using long-tail keywords (specific phrases that searchers use) to help content reach its target
audience.
Ensuring that content loads quickly and is compatible with mobile devices.

EMAIL MARKETING
• Marketers send out timely emails to large groups of people who have signed up for
their contact list to inform potential customers of sales, discounts, and product
launches.
Some common examples of emailing marketing include:
Timed emails that raise brand awareness during holiday seasons.
Blast emails that inform recipients about upcoming sales events.
Targeted emails that send personalized offers and messages to specific groups on
an email list.
SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING
Search engine marketing (SEM) is a digital marketing strategy that increases
the visibility of websites in search engine results pages (SERPs) using paid
advertising. It’s also known as paid search marketing, or pay-per-click (PPC).
SEM typically involves using paid search advertising campaigns (such as
Google AdWords) to show ads at the top or bottom of the search engine
results pages. These ads are generated by specific keywords related to the
products, services, or content being offered. This strategy is a powerful
method for reaching new customers, driving traffic to your website, and
generating leads.
