Freud's psychoanalytic theory of human development proposes that it is primarily unconscious and driven by inner forces, memories, and conflicts outside of conscious awareness or control. The theory has three aspects: the id operates on the pleasure principle unconsciously, the ego operates on the reality principle consciously, and the superego operates on morality principles across all levels. Freud believed that childhood experiences have a strong influence on shaping personality that carries into adulthood.

INTRODUCTION:
Sigmund Freud (1856 to 1939) was the founding father of Psychoanalysis, a method for treating mental illness and also a theory which explains human behavior.
Freud believed that events in our childhood have a great influence on our adult lives, shaping our personality. For example, anxiety originating from traumatic experiences in a person's past is hidden from consciousness, and may cause problems during adulthood.
Freud believed that people could be cured by making conscious their unconscious thoughts and motivations, thus gaining "insight".
The aim of psychoanalysis therapy is to release repressed emotions and experiences, i.e. make the unconscious conscious.
Psychoanalysis is commonly used to treat depression and anxiety disorders.
It is only by having a cathartic (i.e. healing) experience can the person be helped and "cured"

3) Think about Sigmund Freud's view of children and contrast it with that of his daughter, Anna, and later neo-analytic theorists. How did each distinguish the psychology of adults from that of children in terms of the id and the ego?
4) Mahler thought that the degree of integration and separation between parent and child contributed greatly to healthy and unhealthy relationships in adulthood. What might be examples of healthy and unhealthy degrees of closeness between parents and children?

Each child develops into a unique entity with individual strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, however, some principles and processes apply to the psychological development of all people. Likewise, virtually everyone is subject to similar psychological feelings and reactions that affect their behavior.
This example portrays two schoolboys discussing their current academic careers. Numerous psychological concepts and variables are affecting even this simple interaction. The boys are addressing their own and their peers’ ability to learn and achieve. Learning is easier for some children and more difficult for others. Personality characteristics also come into play. Some children are more dominant and aggressive. Others are more passive. Some young people are more motivated to achieve and win. Others are less interested and enthusiastic. Finally, some children feel good about themselves, and others have poor self-concepts.
A Perspective
Psychological variables interact with biological and social factors to affect an individual’s situation and behavior. Their interaction influences the potential courses of action available to a person at any point in time. This chapter will focus on some of the psychological concepts that critically impact children as they grow up. There are four major thrusts. The first presents a perspective on how personalities develop. The second provides a basic understanding of how children think and learn. The third focuses on emotion, and the fourth on self-concept.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

My recap and Summary
- 3. Good afternoon everyone! Let me do some recap on our previous lessons based on Justice's Report. Asper our discussion we discussed about FREUD'S THEORY which is the Psychoanalytic theory on Human Development. According to Freud's theory human development is primarily unconscious and behavior is motivated by unconscious/inner force memories and conflicts over which person or a has little control or awareness. Based on FREUD'S theory there are 3aspexys on human development. First the id operating on the pleasure principles generally within the unconscious. EGO operating on the reality principles within the conscious realm. Superego operating on the morality principles at all levels. Freud believes that during our childhood certain events have greater influence on how our personality shaped which carries on onto our adulthood. As for our assignments we are expected to do our given activities and task. That's all THANK YOU...
