The Duke of Ferrara uses a painting of his former
wife as a conversation piece.
 To critique the objectification of women and
abuses of power.
Remarks on how hard the painter, Fra Pandolf,
worked hard on it.
The duke asks the guest to sit and look at the
work.
 GORNERIL : “by day and night he wrongs me every
hour.”
 King lear: “ blow winds, and crack your cheeks!
rags! blow.”
 Cordelia: “ unhappy that I am, I cannot heave my
heart into my mouth,”
