All Time Low released a concert DVD of their show at Wembley Stadium. The document proposes creating an album as the soundtrack to this DVD, featuring live recordings of songs from the Wembley setlist. A tracklist of 21 songs is presented, with the idea of choosing upbeat, non-music video songs like "Stella" to feature. Initial music video ideas are outlined, incorporating elements of leaving the concert and band members in different settings, similar to past videos. The proposed design style references elements commonly seen in All Time Low artwork like skulls and crosses to maintain brand synergy across products.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George
It is possible to hide or invisible some fields in odoo. Commonly using “invisible” attribute in the field definition to invisible the fields. This slide will show how to make a field invisible in odoo 17.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. All Time Low are an American band, they fit into the pop-
punk genre along with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Blink-182
and Panic! At The Disco. They have 7 albums that they have
produced, on and off record labels. There is synergy with
their band logo, they have continued to use the same font,
the same idea of having the middle word large and the two
side words becoming slightly smaller on the ends. Some of
their album covers as have the skull between the L and T
and also the stars, lines and !. On the album ‘So Wrong It’s
Right’ there are the birds flying behind the girls, this is their
first real studio album, on their latest album ‘Future Hearts’
they decided to incorporate the birds back into their album
covers. All of the previous albums before Future Hearts have
featured some type of person on their design whether it is a
cartoon human or real life photos. For my album cover
3. Album Idea
All Time Low released a concert DVD in 2010, this features just mainly concert
footage. They announced that they would be releasing their new DVD of them playing
live in Wembley (along with You Me At Six), they let out a Straight To Soundtrack so
that is my idea. It is to create the soundtrack for the new DVD, with all the songs that
they play live at Wembley, then include a few of the live versions as well.
This is the setlist for their Wembley show, all together there are 21 songs that they
preformed. That would mean with the live versios of certain songs it would take the
album up to 25 songs. The full tracklist is:
1. A love like war
2. Lost In Stereo
3. Six Feet Under The Stars
4. Heroes
5. Stella
6. Somewhere In Neverland
7. The Irony Of Choking On A Lifesaver
8. Weightless
9. Remembering Sunday
10. Therapy
11. Kids In The Dark
12. Guts
13. Outlines
14. Damned If I Do Ya
Damned If I Don’t
15. Forget About It
16. Backsteat Serenade
17. Timebomb
18. Somethings Gotta Give
19. The Reckless and The Brave
20. Dear Maria
4. Song Choice
A lot of the songs on this album already have music videos, the ones in red indicate which songs already have
music videos. Since these songs already have music videos I am going to avoid doing these songs.
1. A love like war
2. Lost In Stereo
3. Six Feet Under The Stars
4. Heroes
5. Stella
6. Somewhere In Neverland
7. The Irony Of Choking On A
Lifesaver
8. Weightless
9. Remembering Sunday
10. Therapy
11. Kids In The Dark
12. Guts
13. Outlines
24. Damned If I Do Ya Damned If I
Don’t
15. Forget About It
16. Backsteat Serenade
17. Timebomb
18. Somethings Gotta Give
19. The Reckless and The Brave
20. Dear Maria
I would want an upbeat song to use, because it is easier to edit to, out of
all of these songs, the only three that aren’t up beat are Six Feet Under
The Stars, Therapy, Remembering Sunday and Guts. So that would leave
Heroes, Stella, Outlines, Forget About It and The Reckless and The Brave
to choose from. Stella is one of the more up beat songs out of these 5
songs, it is also one of the bands most popular tracks so it would be more
appealing to the audience to have a music video for this song.
Stella comes from their most popular album, Nothing Personal, this album
includes some of their biggest hits such as Lost In Stereo, Weightless,
Therapy, Damned If I Do Ya Damned If I Don’t.
5. Initial Video Ideas
Since this is the soundtrack to their Wembley DVD, it would be good incorporate the idea
of a concert into this music video. So my idea was to have the lead singer just leaving the
concert, this ties in the idea of the concert DVD without actually using concert footage
which would be hard to get a hold of. So it would just be his journey on the way home
from the concert, the other band members there as well coming in and out of the video,
similar to the way that Somewhere In Neverland Is Done. All Time Low also have shots of
them playing their instruments in nearly all of their music videos, so it would be good to
have those shots integrated somehow.
The way this video is done will be similar to the way the lead singer walks through their
'Weightless' video and also the idea of random things happening, just like in their
'Somewhere In Neverland' (SINL) video. The idea of it being similar to the SINL video is
that they are in different settings and locations throughout the video, not the animated
paper idea.
Weightless Music Video Somewhere In Neverland Music Video
6. Style
The style of my digipak is going to be very informal and friendly, it is
going to have the colours red, blue and white like the theme of the
show poster. This is to keep synergy between all of the products I am
going to make. Each product will also have the skill and cross bones,
whether it is with or without the Union Jack design, it will still be there.
This is a way of noticing the band in magazines, posters, shops etc. I
have chosen to do this because throughout most of All Time Low’s
albums and other products they have usually featured the skull and
cross bones or the birds, so it would also appeal to the fans to see these
things continued.
7. DVD look
The DVD and the CD would have the same
look, just with the different names on.
They will be a plane silver CD, with their
updated version of the skull and cross
bones which was edited to have the
Union Jack design. This would be on both
discs, blown up so that some of the sides
are cut off. The title out be in the same
font as the to font used on the poster, it
would have their label logo on both discs
as well.
