My Ball tells the story of a football given to the author as a child. The author played with the ball every day in a square near his home. An old man who lived nearby would sometimes try to steal the ball when it hit his door, but was never fast enough. The last game the author played with the ball was three years prior, when it got a hole poked in it from a rose bush.

1. My Ball
Years ago, when I was younger, I had a football that my parents
gave me for my 6th
birthday. It had a Real Madrid picture and it was
signed by Casillas, Guti and Raul
Since that day I went to play football everyday from early in the
afternoon to the last sun lights of the evening. We played in a
square where nobody passed but there was an old house in one
side of the square. In that house lived an old man. Sometimes when
we hit his door he went out of the house and tried to steal my ball,
luckily, he wasn´t fast enough.
The last game I played with it was three years ago, because it got
poked by a rose bush.
