This document summarizes one person's 50 year experience at Pacific Lutheran University that involved many changes to the campus library. It notes the original 1965 library staff and facilities, the construction of the new Mortvedt Library building in the 1970s, and the library's continued expansion and modernization under John Heussman's leadership through the introduction of new technologies and collections.
