Trademark basics
Derek Fahey of Fahey Business Law presented on the differences between trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Trademarks protect brands and logos and last as long as they are used in commerce. Copyright protects original works and lasts for the life of the author plus 70 years. Patents protect inventions and last between 14-20 years depending on the type of patent. The presentation covered topics such as obtaining trademark rights, registering a trademark, and the benefits of federal trademark registration.
Low budget v high budget
Man of Steel had a budget of $225 million and was produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, while The Inbetweeners Movie had a much smaller budget of $5.7 million and was distributed by Entertainment Film Distributors. Warner Bros. Pictures is a major Hollywood studio that produces big-budget blockbusters, while Entertainment Film Distributors focuses on lower budget films in the UK. As a result, Man of Steel made over $660 million at the box office compared to $88 million for The Inbetweeners Movie. population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
