2. Hello, my name is Sónia Faia, I´m from Lisbon,
Portugal. This lesson is for week 1 of
introduction to music Production at
coursera.org. For this assignment I will be
teaching you Audio Basics: Propagation,
Amplitude, Frequency, and Timbre.

4. What is Propagation?
Propagation of sound is the sound passage through a
media, e.g.: air, water, metal. In some material and
temperature the sound will travel slower or faster,
depending on the media.

5. What about Amplitude?
Amplitude is the objective measurement of the degree of change
(positive or negative) in atmospheric pressure caused by sound waves.
Sounds with greater amplitude will produce greater changes in
atmospheric pressure from high pressure to low pressure. Amplitude is
directly related to the acoustic energy or intensity of a sound. Both
amplitude and intensity are related to sound's power.

6. Frequency
Frequency is characterized as a periodic vibration whose frequency (is a computer
measure) is audible to the average human. It is the property of sound that most
determines pitch (high and low) and is measured in hertz (Hz). the human
hearing can hear from 20hz to 20Khz. its how fast the sound is vibrating

7. Last but not least, Timbre
Timbre is what allows us to distinguish one musical instrument from another,
even the voice of a person , even when they have the same pitch and
loudness. Is a collection of sound in multiple frequency.
