Short description of tasks:
The pupils had to complete a French quiz about French
paintings at Kelvingrove Museum. The questions were about
what they had learnt in French so far like numbers, descriptions
of people, and colours, but in a new context.
Aims and Objectives
• Discovering French painters and paintings
• Learning new vocabulary in the context of art
• Revising old vocabulary in a new context
• Working in groups as well as on your own

• "It was a great opportunity for the pupils to discover French art only 20
minutes away from their school. Some of them had never been to the
Kelvingrove Museum." (Mr. McGregor, teacher at Hillpark.)
• "It was fun to learn French outside class" (S3 pupil.)
• NB: Every pupil was able to work on a painting and take his/her time to
complete the quiz but they could also ask for support.
