The students visited a museum and learned about ancient Egyptian drilling techniques, rebuilt broken pottery, and made sieves. For drilling, they twisted string around a drill piece and used a hexagonal piece of wood to pull the string and drill. When rebuilding pottery, the students struggled at first to fit all the pieces but eventually completed it, though a small part was missing. To make sieves, they tied bamboo together on the ground, stood it up, attached sieve material, and tied off extra rope.
