A unified front against fraud
A true partnership between industry, law enforcement and
government
I want the Joint Fraud Taskforce to signal a new type of partnership
- truly collaborative, driving our collective action to reduce the
numbers of victims; reduce the impact of fraud; and increase the
prosecution and disruption of fraudsters.

• In April 2016 DWP moves its Internal
Investigations function to the Government
Internal Audit Agency (GIAA)
• create an expert domain for internal fraud
• co-ordinate the alignment of policies and
procedures
• Build on DWP’s mature model for internal
investigations
