Friction stir processing is a technique for improving the characteristics of metals by causing local, severe plastic deformation. This deformation is achieved by forcing a non-consumable tool into the workpiece and rotating it in a stirring action while being pushed laterally through it. The primary goal of this experiment is to investigate Friction Stir processing parameters, surface composite production using friction stirs, and material mechanical characteristics. The various ceramic particles, such as SiC and Al2O3, were used as reinforcement particles. The parameter for this experiment is considered as the traveling speed, tool rotation speed, and tilt angles.

Turbine blades are crafted through precision casting, often using investment casting methods. High-temperature alloys are carefully selected for their durability. Following casting, computer numerical control (CNC) machining refines the blade's shape, while heat treatment enhances its mechanical properties. Thermal barrier coatings, applied through techniques like plasma spraying, provide protection against high-temperature corrosion. Rigorous inspections and assembly into the turbine rotor ensure the production of resilient blades for power generation or aviation applications.

Generally, for joining process for soft materials s uch as aluminum alloys and also for hard materials like steels friction stir welding is usedas it avoids ma ny of the common problems obtained in fusion weldin g. Also if we gone through joining of aluminum alloys could be usually faced problems in many cases available in various fields like automotive, aerosp ace, ship building industries, electronics etc. whe re fusion welding is not possible due to large differe nce in physical and chemical properties of the components to be joined. Mainly the problems occurr ed in the welding processes like porosity formation, solidification cracking, and chemical reaction may arise during fusion welding of dissimilar materials . Even if good welded joints may be obtained in some limited cases with special attentions to the joint design and preparation, process parameters and fill er metals. For avoiding the drawbacks of fusion welding friction stir welding (FSW) seems to be a v ery reliable technique as it permits welding of aluminum alloys. To avoid the majorly obtained healt h defects observed during traditional welding methods or fusion welding it can be used. The produ ctions of ultraviolet rays and the gases produced i n the process which are harmful to human beings are minim ized to large extent. The parts produces in FSW of aluminum alloys have been becoming increasingly sig nificant in industrial applications because of thei r technical and economicbenefits.

important subject in the material science discipline.
Material testing methods are standardized by several
organizations, such as ASTM, ISO, ASM and DIN etc.
Materials are tested and their mechanical properties

change the spark patterns that are projected, but the
main goal of this project is to attempt to standardize a
method of spark testing and how it is performed. The
study was conducted on six different grades of carbon
steels that are commonly used in manufacturing
processes. A reference manual was created from the
experimental data cataloguing the spark pictures. This
manual can be used by students and potentially by
machine shops to identify samples of the included

The bearing is a main element in case of rotating machines for aircraft engines applications. The major failure of
ball bearing is because of wear of balls. This paper focused on prediction of wear of balls under pure sliding
contact conditions for Chrome steel, Alumina Oxide and Silicon Nitride materials. The wear calculation method
is employed as per ASTM G99 standard. Pin on Disc Apparatus is used to perform trials. To reduce number of
experimentations, DOE technique is used with L9 orthogonal array. Accordingly tests are conducted. Engine oil
is used for maintaining the lubricating conditions. Finally Comparison is done for various materials.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
