This document discusses 3 assistive technologies that can help people with reading disabilities: 1. Screen readers, which allow visually impaired users to access digital content via audio or touch. Screen readers transmit text displayed on a computer screen into tactile or auditory form. 2. Speech recognition technologies, which provide hands-free control of devices and continue to improve accuracy of different sounds. 3. Video magnifiers, which are tools that improve access to print materials for low vision users by improving contrast and viewing more text at once with customizable settings. Video magnifiers can magnify materials from two to seventy times normal size.
