1. Goals:
-My goal for this sign is to inform and educate people about mountain biking. I
want people to be eager to learn more about mountain biking and what is has to
offer to their body, mind, and spirit. My goal is convince people to try this
activity at least once and to inform them that they don’t have to travel far in
order to try out this new activity.
Audience:
-I want to target a large group of people; an audience between the ages of 18
and older. Id like to target the crowd of people who don’t enjoy running but love
he outdoors, people who are searching for alternative to running as a way to
stay active.
Message:
-Mountain biking can be a fun weekend activity with the family or it can be a
vigorous work out for those seeking fitness benefits. Either way, you will achieve
cardiorespitory benefits from this activity. This activity requires your lungs,
heart, muscles, and mind to work together to get through the trails. The great
thing is that you don’t have to travel far to find a place to mountain bike; Oregon
offers numerous trails for people of all skills levels. This a great way to achieve a
health enhancing lifestyle, spend some quality time with the family, and enjoy
the outdoors in your hometown.

4. The last slide and the next slide show
significant changes in my sign. In comparison
to my first sign (on page two), I changed my
message and I got ride of the “feel”
statement. I kept most of the same pictures
throughout my sign changes. These two slides
were my two contrast signs which I thought
were giant steps towards my end product.
5.
6. This next slide was my favorite sign before my
final product. I really like the font changes in
random places and use of one photo. I chose to
keep those tactics as a part of my final project.
7. Mountain Biking in Your Backyard
Whether you’re a beginning bike rider or an
expert on two wheels, mountain Biking is a great
challenge for everyone! Oregon is surrounded
my endless wooded trails with various levels
difficultly. Mountain Biking is a phenomenal
workout for your body. When your climbing
vigorous terrain every muscle in your body it
working to move you and your bike up the over the
uneven ground. After peddling continuously for just
3 minutes (sometimes less for certain individuals)
your caridiorespitory system (heart and lungs) is
already becoming stronger and more efficient
as is it moves blood and oxygen through your entire
body. An activity that is health enhancing and in
the beautiful outdoors of your hometown,
what more you ask for?
8. For my final sign, I got rid of the main
title, I felt it was unnecessary to have two
titles. With that I chose to add color to
my text and use multiple font styles. I
chose to change the picture so that more
attention would be on the text. I chose
this picture because it displays a sense of
hard work, accomplishment, and
happiness.

Editor's Notes
Contrast: In this photo I decided the best way to provide contrast is bright colors on a dark background. I choose to use a black background and keep my color scheme the same, orange and yellow. I tried using more outdoors colors like green, blue, and brown, but orange and yellow had much better contrast against the black. I also chose to change the font and add a couple photos. Even after adding the photos to my page, my text is still the center of attention, as it should be. I the colors contrast draws in the audience, they quickly glance at the photos and hopefully read the text and become interested. So far I think contrast has been the most powerful change in my poster.
Contrast: In this poster I chose to use a more simple look. I chose to use a dark brown instead of black to make it match the “Mountain Biking” Theme (natural/outdoorsy colors). With that I chose green and white as font colors to also go with the outdoors theme. At first I had the beach picture on this poster but I chose to swop it with the sunrise photo. I felt that the two photos has similar contrast with background which made the poster look more put together and appealing. I also decided to use captions in this poster just to try something different from the last one.
Structure: I used the contrast of structure for this image. I the idea of bold and slender/normal contrast. It’s a subtle change that add character and pop to the poster. It a great way to draw in attention without being crazy or over the top. I really like this contrast
