1. Dear Sir or Madam
I’m writing this to apply for The Life Sciences Bachelors program at HAN University
When I was little, my neighbor used to give me stroopwaffle every time they comeback from
Europe, and I just fell in love with it. I promise myself that one day I’m going to Holland and buy my own
stroopwaffel. I know it seems silly now, but that was one of the dreams I hold dearly. Now that theres
an opportunity to make my dreams come true, I’m going to give my best shot.
I have always been fond of Biology. My mother thoughts that maybe it’s because my
Grandfather was a Professor in Biology, but I don’t think that kind of thing is genetics. Anyway, the
reason why I love biology is because I like to know detailed things that not everyone else knows and
there’s always interesting facts in biology. HAN University offer Life Science program that I really
interested to pursue. In this Life Science Program I want to meet new people with innovative ideas that
share the same goal with me. To make a difference.
I think everybody is unique in their own way, but what makes me different and really proud of
myself is; I’m very optimistic, I always have positive thoughts and I believe in believing. With enough
effort I believe that everything is possible. I also like meeting new people to share Ideas so I could see
things from different prospective by learning from others. Because I think, the thing that really matter
the most is things that we learn from experience. I also want to learn different cultures and hopefully
with this opportunity I could perfect my English and learn Dutch.
Studying in Netherland will be a great opportunity and wonderful experience because Dutch
educational system has very high standards. It would be fortunate to be accepted so I could learn new
things, meet new people, and see the beauty of Netherlands.
