This unhealthy behavior usually starts early in life. Individuals can potentially exhibit and or be victimized by bullying. Most cases are underreported and not detected while the solutions exist to reduce the incidence and the prevalence of this common phenomenon. Targeting bullying in childhood and adolescence is a great determinant of healthier learners, but also of healthier and productive adult citizens.
Bullying: What is it, and what to do about it?
Bullying is defined as repeated negative acts involving an imbalance of power. It can include verbal, physical, or relational aggression. Around 17-30% of students report being bullied. Bullies, victims, and bully-victims face poor mental and physical health outcomes. Evidence for effective anti-bullying programs is limited due to lack of standardized criteria and theoretical basis. However, programs engaging bystanders, like Finland's KiVa program, show promise by changing norms to discourage bullying.

Some commercial cloud storage services are on-line data backup services of Amazon, and some practical cloud based software such as Memo pal, Mazy, Bitcasa, Drop box and Google have been built for cloud application. The data and software packages are stored in the cloud server. Multiple users in a group share the source code. The user can access, modify, compile and run that shared source code at any time and place. The collusion of revoked user, the cloud server will give chance to malicious cloud server data. Security issues would be provided in the public cloud storage server by encrypting the data by using encryption techniques. The scheme such as Key-Policy Attribute Based Encryption and Cipher Text- Policy Attribute Based Encryption provide security for the public storage cloud data. The researcher has been using Facebook Groups (FBGs) as a means to foster and boost learning and teaching in her three writing classes (level 1, level 2, level 3) to English majors over 3 semesters. In this paper, she is going to provide a close-up and thorough process of her utilizing technology in teaching and learning (FBG) from the very early stage (very new to using it) to the one of mastery, effectiveness and creativity. This is definitely a scaffolding for any language teachers who wish to create an online learning environment which promotes collaborative learning and learners’ autonomy in language learning. Specifically, first she is providing a critical reflection on how FBGs were used in the level-1 class. Second, findings of the positive and negative effects - which expectedly and unexpectedly occurred in the class- of using this approach were discussed. Third, implications were realized for being applied in the level-2 class. Next, the same research processes applied for the level-2 class and level-3 class are analytically presented. Finally, the implications are drawn to continue the action research spiral model for her future writing classes.

School surveys were introduced into the Young Lives research study in 2010 in order to capture detailed information about children’s experiences of schooling, and to improve our understanding of:
- the relationships between learning outcomes, and children's home backgrounds, gender, work, schools, teachers and class and school peer-groups.
- school effectiveness, by analysing factors explaining the development of cognitive and non-cognitive skills in school, including value-added analysis of schooling and comparative analysis of school-systems.
- equity issues (including gender) in relation to learning outcomes and the evolution of inequalities within education

- 1. Understanding children’s experiences of violence in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India: evidence from Young Lives Virginia Morrow, Young Lives, Oxford, and Renu Singh, Young Lives, India

Context: • Societal context of widespread condemnation of gender- based violence • Research context of copious evidence showing that violence against children is widespread in homes, schools and communities • Policy context of plethora of laws banning use of violence eg in schools, girls’ empowerment programmes • Analysis of cross-sectional survey data • Case studies from longitudinal qualitative data gathered over a seven year period • Attempt to apply socio-ecological model of Multi-Country Study

Key findings (1): violence is widespread • Seen as acceptable way to respond to transgressions • Changes as children grow older • Underpinned by powerful gender norms – harassment (‘eve-teasing’) • Experienced at school – corporal punishment • Children across all socio-economic levels experience and witness violence

Key findings (2): Drivers of violence • Intergenerational cycle of violence, eg Ravi, at age 12, sees parents fighting, tried to intervene, said of his future wife: ‘I won’t beat her…’ • But age 19, married, ‘she gets a beating… she just nags, I get angry’ • Poverty exacerbates corporal punishment: - missing school for work, being tired, not paying fees on time, not wearing uniform
