This document summarizes the Integrated Medicine Morbidity Management and Disability Prevention protocol for Lymphatic Filariasis developed by the Institute of Applied Dermatology in Kerala, India. The protocol uses an integrated approach combining allopathy, ayurveda, yoga, compression therapy and patient education. It involves skin care, lymph drainage massage, herbal soaking, compression bandaging and home care. Over 4,366 patients have been treated since 2004 with the protocol showing significant long-term reductions in lymphedema volume and stage. The WHO has acknowledged the institute as a global leader in lymphedema treatment.
