DAILY REPORTS OF ACTIVITIES IN THE SUMBRUNGU
COMMUNITY IN THE MONTH OF JULY, 2023.
This month was successfully come to an end, with no injuries, and major
problems in our library.
This report contains details about activities and happenings in our library during
the month of July.
During the first week of July, we had a lot of activities in our library ranging
from reading activities, sporting activities, drawing activities and many more
We had special reading classes for our young patrons, especially pupil’s in basic
1 and 2, we helped them reading words contained in the books one word by one
word, this is to help them memorise and learn how to spell them. We also
helped them solve their assignments given to them at school.
We had a special imagination drawing during the first week of July, we
organised it between our patrons in both upper and lower primary, and this
challenge was to make the activity competitive. We awarded winners with
exercise books and pencils to draw more and work harder
During the second week of July, we had similar activities in our library, only
that we reintroduced the pick and act session, IT session, Mind your language
and time for the special needs.
All the above mentioned activities were carried out in our library with the help
of our very own patrons, all we needed was cooperation and discipline and
everyone present during these activities exhibited them.
The third week of July was also yet another exciting week because we had a
wonderful video show night, were we watched a movie about teenage
pregnancy and its effects on both the boys and the girls. We discussed about it
among ourselves and made a statement that ‘don’t start what you can’t handle’
this literally means just don’t try what is meant for adults. We advised our
patrons not to engage in sexual activities because they know the effects, and
mental problems it can cause them.
The fourth and final week of this month was also exciting, we had a game
challenge between patrons and librarians, which our patrons won the contest
and were awarded, we played oware and ludo together, while playing we
advised them to take their studies serious and be better people in the future, one
of them said, ‘I’ll become a doctor so when you’re sick l will treat you, I was
excited to hear that from a young one.
We will wish to end here by saying, thanks once again for your generous
donations and advices on how to handle the library’s activities and properties,
we the people of Sumbrungu are grateful

MONTHLY REPORT OF SUMBRUNGU COMMUNITY LIBRARY FOR THE MONTH
OF JULY, 2023
The month of July has been a wonderful month, this is because we had an increase in
attendance of patrons in our library. Patrons came to the library both day and night times of
opening respectively.
We had a lot of educational activities in our library during this month, these activities
includes; group reading, individual reading, pick and act, imaginative drawing, indoor and
outdoor games, movie time and many more. It’s always a happy moment when its time or
days to play games.
Group reading; this is an activity which we organise in our library to help young patrons to
read selected story books and spell English words found in a particular book before and after
reading the story book. We most times read three to four story books a day just to make them
(patrons) familiar and perfect when reading.
Pick and act; this activity is done to help patrons to relate well in where ever they find
themselves. We write short action words on pieces of papers and fold them into a container
and select a number of participants to play the games, so we select someone to start the game
by picking and folded paper from the container and mention it loud or show it to the audience
to help mention it, after which he or she is timed to act according to the word written on the
paper. It is always a wonderful moment playing this game.
Imaginative drawing; this activity helps patrons develop the act of drawing something
without seeing it at a moment but still draw it. This is a wonderful ability which we want our
patrons to develop and it will help them in so many ways.
Movie night; this activity happens mostly during weekends, we try entertaining our patrons
by playing a movie from either a laptop or the television in our library to help them free some
stress, mostly the library is always full these days.
Our library aims to help anyone ready to learn how to read, write and develop any
educational skill. We welcome anyone into our library since that person is ready to learn new
things from us. Sumbrungu library is opened to ages ranging from 2 years old upwards.
We would like to conclude by saying, our big thanks to our special and loving donors for
their generous help they are helping us, we say may you not lack in anything you ask God
for.
Thank you

MONTHLY REPORT OF Ghana LIBRARY FOR THE MONTH OF JULY.pdf

  • 1. DAILY REPORTS OF ACTIVITIES IN THE SUMBRUNGU COMMUNITY IN THE MONTH OF JULY, 2023. This month was successfully come to an end, with no injuries, and major problems in our library. This report contains details about activities and happenings in our library during the month of July. During the first week of July, we had a lot of activities in our library ranging from reading activities, sporting activities, drawing activities and many more We had special reading classes for our young patrons, especially pupil’s in basic 1 and 2, we helped them reading words contained in the books one word by one word, this is to help them memorise and learn how to spell them. We also helped them solve their assignments given to them at school. We had a special imagination drawing during the first week of July, we organised it between our patrons in both upper and lower primary, and this challenge was to make the activity competitive. We awarded winners with exercise books and pencils to draw more and work harder During the second week of July, we had similar activities in our library, only that we reintroduced the pick and act session, IT session, Mind your language and time for the special needs. All the above mentioned activities were carried out in our library with the help of our very own patrons, all we needed was cooperation and discipline and everyone present during these activities exhibited them. The third week of July was also yet another exciting week because we had a wonderful video show night, were we watched a movie about teenage pregnancy and its effects on both the boys and the girls. We discussed about it among ourselves and made a statement that ‘don’t start what you can’t handle’ this literally means just don’t try what is meant for adults. We advised our patrons not to engage in sexual activities because they know the effects, and mental problems it can cause them. The fourth and final week of this month was also exciting, we had a game challenge between patrons and librarians, which our patrons won the contest and were awarded, we played oware and ludo together, while playing we

We will wish to end here by saying, thanks once again for your generous donations and advices on how to handle the library’s activities and properties, we the people of Sumbrungu are grateful Complied by; Amoah Marinus MONTHLY REPORT OF SUMBRUNGU COMMUNITY LIBRARY FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, 2023 The month of July has been a wonderful month, this is because we had an increase in attendance of patrons in our library. Patrons came to the library both day and night times of opening respectively. We had a lot of educational activities in our library during this month, these activities includes; group reading, individual reading, pick and act, imaginative drawing, indoor and outdoor games, movie time and many more. It’s always a happy moment when its time or days to play games. Group reading; this is an activity which we organise in our library to help young patrons to read selected story books and spell English words found in a particular book before and after reading the story book. We most times read three to four story books a day just to make them (patrons) familiar and perfect when reading. Pick and act; this activity is done to help patrons to relate well in where ever they find themselves. We write short action words on pieces of papers and fold them into a container and select a number of participants to play the games, so we select someone to start the game by picking and folded paper from the container and mention it loud or show it to the audience to help mention it, after which he or she is timed to act according to the word written on the paper. It is always a wonderful moment playing this game. Imaginative drawing; this activity helps patrons develop the act of drawing something without seeing it at a moment but still draw it. This is a wonderful ability which we want our patrons to develop and it will help them in so many ways. Movie night; this activity happens mostly during weekends, we try entertaining our patrons by playing a movie from either a laptop or the television in our library to help them free some stress, mostly the library is always full these days.
