2. Responsibilities:
• Operation on various pipes handling equipment while making pipe connections,
tripping etc.
• Work on floor during tripping and respect exactly the safety regulations.
• Centre drill pipe stands and casing for running in hole.
• Help in drilling fluid treatment.
• Checking and maintenance the drilling equipment
• Utilize and participate in job planning processes such as toolbox meetings to effective
plan work
• Effectively participate in Risk Assessment and Permit to Work processes
• Operate drilling equipment and tools such as, rig tongs, iron roughneck, elevators and
slips and other relevant systems and equipment on drill floor
• Operate and monitor drilling fluid circulating system and associated equipment
• Carry out regular inventory checks on mud pump and circulating system spares to
ensure adequate stock is maintained
• Oversee mixing of mud and chemicals and ensure that the Drilling fluid is maintained
within the specified parameters
• Actively participate in pre-tour, toolbox talks, pre-job meetings and weekly safety
meetings
• Able to operate a manual Derrick.
