1. Financial Aid and Scholarships:
To maintain financial aid eligibility, students must
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress (minimum 2.0 GPA)
• Be a degree-seeking student or have a declared program of
study
• Be enrolled in courses that meet graduation requirements
• Meet certain enrollment criteria (most awards require minimum
of 6 credits per term)
If student fails a course, financial aid covers cost of re-taking course one
time only.

2. 150% Rule for Financial Aid
The College guidelines for the implementation of the Federal
Financial Aid 150% Rule are as follows:
• The 150% Rule-Federal Financial Aid can be used to cover the
cost of education up to 150% of the credits required for
completion of an AA or AS degree , some College Credit
Certificate or Vocational Certificate.
For Example -if you are enrolled in an AA degree that has a 60
credit requirement for completion,
• Financial Aid will cover a maximum of 90 credits. All transfer
credits posted on the M-DCC Degree Audit along with credits
earned at M-DCC
• (excluding item two above) are included in the 150%
calculation.

2. ACCESS Disability Services: includes visual, hearing or
speech impediments, other physical conditions, learning
disabilities, psychological disorders, and Attention Deficit Disorder

• Florida Choices Planner enables students to explore career and
educational options.

• Career Coach also helps students explore career options by
providing most current local data on wages, employment, job
postings and associated education and training .
