Using Cooperative Learning in your Unit Plan.
Once you have clear ideas about your topic it is time to think how are you going to teach it and
work with your students. Complete the following chart to introduce Cooperative Learning.
You are going to describe how are you going to organize your students in the class: pairs,
groups of three or four, whole group, ……
And then you have to choose two cooperative learning techniques you will introduce into your
unit and tell us how you are going to work with them: what task are you going to use using
them.
2. Why not CLIL?
Class Organization:
· Organized in groups: 7 groups of 3 and 1 group of 4 pupils.
Cooperative Learning Technique 1:
·Round Robin
Each student takes turns sharing something new with members of the collaborative group.
Round robin offers students the opportunity to express ideas and opinions while learning
more about their teammates.
Task you are going to work:
·Physiological determining of colour.
-How emotions are affected by the perception of the colours ?
·Form, colour and composition.
-What kind of forms do you know ?
-What kind of colours dou you know ?
-Whay kind of compositions do you know ?
·Visual weight.
-How we define the visual weight in a picture ?
·Cromatic gammas.
-What kind of gamma colours do you know ?
·Illumination.
-What kind of illumination do you know ?
Cooperative Learning Technique 2:
·Rally Robin.
In pairs, students alternate generating brief oral responses.
Task you are going to work:
·Explain some steps that you must follow to develop an oral exposition.
·Mention some advices to carry out a good oral exposition.
·List some expressions that you could use to describe a picture.
