The modal analysis of a cymbal transducer is conducted to determine its natural frequencies and vibration modes under different working conditions. The cymbal transducer consists of a brass metal cap and a PZT-5H piezoelectric ceramic sheet bonded together. Finite element analysis is performed using ANSYS to obtain the first six natural frequencies and mode shapes of the cymbal transducer in free state. The results from ANSYS are validated by comparing with those from simulation, and they match well.
