Mobile app downloads expected to increase to 25 BILLION by 2015.  Up from 2.6 billion in 2009. By 2016 more than 44 billion apps will have been downloaded.  If the global population is roughly 7 billion people, that will mean 6 mobile app downloads for every man, woman and child!
The average American’s Smartphone has 22 apps; feature phone is 10 apps. North America is poised to lead in downloading Smartphone apps by 2011, surpassing the current leader Europe and still leading Asia-Pacific.
