Freddie Goring proposes a music video to be filmed between May 27th and 31st 2013 in Henley-on-Thames and surrounding areas. He outlines his target audience, crew including a camera operator, lighting technician, and actor. Equipment such as a van and editing suite will be rented. The estimated budget is £9448.40 covering crew costs, transportation, accommodations, and equipment. Pre-production will occur May 13th-17th, filming May 27th-31st, and editing June 3rd-6th.
This document provides details about a media coursework treatment presentation for a film called "Captive." It discusses choosing the title, establishing the genre of spy/action through elements like color correction, music, locations and costumes. It includes a breakdown of the planned sequence and discusses the tone and atmosphere being created through contrasts between locations. It outlines the target 12A audience, identifies three filming locations and includes a risk assessment. It also notes influence from James Bond and Kingsman films.
The proposal is for a music video for the song "Headspace" by artist Revel. The video will promote the young upcoming artist and help get him noticed by a wider audience. It will target teenagers and young adults ages 16-24. The concept explores themes of social media influence, celebrity culture, and drugs through a mellow, laid back rap song. The proposal outlines the equipment, locations, timing, crew roles, lighting needs, costs, and copyright permissions for the project.
The document discusses plans for an independent music video production with a small student crew. It outlines that the music video theme is about love and heartbreak, similar to "Amy Winehouse’s You Know I’m No Good" and "Chris Medina’s One More Time". The mood will be simple but bold with high contrast black and white text. Locations will include local parks, homes, and cafes to save costs. The small budget means larger production companies may not be interested, but British company Film4 could be approached. Ideally, Warner Bros. would be chosen for their experience with darker themes. The core student crew of 5 is named along with their roles.
James Grimley graduated from film school with first class honors and had one of his short films considered for a Student Oscar. His ambition is to become a scriptwriter for film and TV. He has skills in camera work, editing, scriptwriting and producing short films. He has experience assisting on documentary films and working as a production assistant. The group was able to successfully film at a public location, with things going well like arriving safely, contributing ideas, and setting up equipment without disruption. However, some shots were unfocused or disrupted by passersby. Additionally, the video camera ran out of battery, forcing someone to return to collect another and reducing filming time. Filming in a public place required care not to disturb others, especially near a canal and busy road. The location was easy to find and staff were understanding in allowing shots in different settings.
The document summarizes the location scouting for different scenes in a music video project. The main narrative location chosen was South End Pier due to its beautiful and relaxed atmosphere fitting their characters. School fields were selected for the flashback scene's simplicity and ease of access. The sixth form area was picked for the flash-forward scene due to available equipment and lighting. Transportation costs factored into decisions to use nearby school locations for shorter scenes.

The document summarizes the planning and research done for a student music video project called "The Big Tree". It discusses researching the work of artist Travi$ Scott for inspiration. Location scouting was done to find an outdoor area surrounded by trees. Props, costumes, and a storyboard were developed. An animatic was created to plan shots synchronized to the music. Cast availability was scheduled for the full shoot day. Evaluation found planning worked well though more shots could have been filmed if time allowed.
The document summarizes the filming process for a student documentary project over several sessions from October to November 2016. It describes the various background footage, interviews, and presenter scenes that were filmed, including technical details and locations. As filming progressed, the students' skills improved in areas like equipment operation, interviewing, and shot composition. They also began editing their collected footage in Premier Pro to construct the documentary timeline.
The group managed resources, equipment, deadlines, and collaboration well during their film project. They created detailed shot lists assigning locations, equipment, characters, and lighting. They met most interim deadlines, only missing the final cut deadline due to technical issues. During filming, they addressed a health and safety issue with loose camera wires by taping them down. Their storyboards and scripting went well, though they lacked time for polished storyboards. They effectively managed time using shot lists and interim deadlines to stay on track and focus on completing tasks.
The group planned their preliminary production by brainstorming ideas for theme, plot, characters, and setting over a week. They created a storyboard that mapped out each shot of the story and noted the different shot types. They chose a thriller theme to engage their target audience and demonstrate their technical skills. Brainstorming allowed everyone to contribute ideas and feel involved in the planning process. They ultimately had to change the filming location from their original proposal of Canary Wharf due to distance and costs, and instead filmed at King's Cross station which provided a similar setting.
This location reconnaissance sheet details plans to film at Wolstonbury Hill in West Sussex. It identifies the location contact as the National Trust and provides access details via a small lane and public footpath. Potential health and safety issues are noted such as loose stones, low trees, mud, brambles, and wildlife. Filming challenges include people and horses in background shots given the proximity to a public footpath and bridleway. Noise from screaming and fake blood could disturb the area. The mud also poses challenges for footwear and equipment. Pre-filming communication with local residents and horse owners is planned to make them aware of the planned filming.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
