Headspace
Artist:Revel
By Maarya and Chai-Ann
Concept
• Song: head space
• Artist: Revel
• The target audience for this music video will be aimed towards
teenagers and young adults ages 16+.
• The video will be to the song “Headspace” by Revel, a younger
upcoming artist, this music video will be used to promote the young
artist and help to get him noticed by a wider audience and will allow
his music to be broadcasted on wider media platform. The genre of
the song is rap with a mellow vibe to it, it’s very laid back and calm,
the lyrics make you think to find a deeper meaning. The song talks
about how youths now a days are closed off and unaware of their
surroundings, how we are under the influence of social media,
celebrates and drugs.
Target Audience
I found the target audience for this artists song is teenagers and
young adults ages 16 to mid-20s this is due to the message behind
the lyrics that encourage the audience to not be ruled and fooled
into believe in what the world is trying to force feed us, tells us to
open our eyes to the world around us.
Equipment
• Resources -
• Camera - DSLR X2
• A tripod
• External hard drives
• Stead cam (maybe)
• Spare SD cards
Location
Location - The Location is effective within scenes and shots especially
in the film industry, as it takes part in the film production. The shots
we will capture are both internal and external, For example, we would
like to film in a café, and also film on a street. We will need to identify
some risks that could possibly happen whilst at the production stage. A
major risk factor is the weather, this can determine the way the filming
is captured, for example the equipment could get wet and be damaged
or the footage will not be as good as expected which could lead to
disappointment.

Timing
Timing - The timing for the film needs to be during day light
hours; however this may be a problem as the days get shorter at
this time of the year. This depends on the availability the artist,
Chai-Ann and I have to record. Also the amount of time that we
need for the college photography studio is a major factor, as the
studio may be over booked at a certain time and this could be a
problem.
Talent/Crew
• Producers
• directors
• writers
• Editors
• Cast
• We will spilt these roles out accordingly between each other.
lighting
The aim is to use natural lighting, however there may be issues
with the weather as the scene could appear dull. One of the
locations is in the photography studio where lighting will not be a
problem as we need all the lights off to make the projector
universe theme more effective. There may be alternative locations
if something goes wrong, so we may need to consider travel cost
on the bus or underground.
Cost/Copyright
The costs are kept to a minimum, as there is no need to buy
anything other than the food/drink that the artist may use whilst
filming the first shot in the cafe. We will need to book the
equipment from the college in order to film the footage, also the
photography studio needs to be booked, as it is one of our
locations.
The artist has given us Verbal permission to use his track,
therefore copyright will not be an issue. On the other hand we will
need to ask permission from the owner of the Café to film.
