Mint grows across Europe, Asia, North America, Africa, and Australia, though it thrives in wet environments and moist soils. There are over 20 kinds of mint and many hybrid varieties, including peppermint. Mint is used to flavor teas, jellies, ice creams, limunades, syrups, toothpastes, and other foods and products due to its fresh, aromatic flavor. Allergic reactions to mint can cause symptoms like diarrhea, headaches, heartburn, and abdominal cramps.
