• Investigated key actors, policy, legislation, and socio-technical landscape of Uganda energy system and
presented findings to audience of professors, students, and Uganda stakeholders.

Project Leader; The Harbors – West Market Redevelopment Project
• Served as project leader for Master’s capstone thesis to plan catalyst projects, which are currently
helping ignite redevelopment investment in New Port Richey and Port Richey, Florida.
• Presented to local residents, business owners, and County officials an innovative 10-year redevelopment
strategy for Pasco County which emphasized Smart Growth Principles.
• Received dozens of handshakes, numerous hugs, and one kiss on the cheek for the redevelopment
strategy we proposed to the community.
Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, Vancouver, British Columbia (Summer 2014)
Planning Intern; Curbside Fresh Market
• Assisted in the launch of Curbside Fresh Market, a mobile farmers market which increases community
access to affordable fresh fruits and vegetables in 5 strategic locations around Vancouver.
• Analyzed suitable locations for mobile market to close gap in access to affordable fresh fruits and
vegetables, including meeting with neighborhood stakeholders.
• Presented detailed analysis along with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society CEO to City of
Vancouver Social Planning Department in order to acquire site permits for mobile market.
Save-On-Meats, Vancouver, British Columbia (Summer 2014)
Evaluation Intern; Social Impact Evaluation
• Planned and executed evaluation of the Save-On-Meats’ social impact which includes hunger alleviation,
job creation & training, social health services, and much more.
• Listened to persons experiencing homelessness, community health workers, and law enforcement
officers regarding the challenges within Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and Save-On-Meats’ role in
addressing these challenges.
• Designed final report, infographics, and a comic strip to communicate and distribute evaluation findings.
USDA Farmers’ Market Promotional Program, Tallahassee, Florida (2013-2014)
Project Manager; Closing the Gap Between Food Deserts and Fresh Food Producers
• Managed a $68,000 grant awarded by the USDA to close the gap between “food deserts” and local food
producers in a three-county area.
• Hired team of 5 project positions to develop and implement strategic plan to connect and educate local
consumers and farmers regarding nutrition and sustainable farming practices through cooking
demonstrations and training workshops.
• Collaborated with the City of Tallahassee, local farmers, nonprofit organizations, community residents,
and universities to achieve goals of shared health, economic, and environmental welfare.

• Created curriculum which focuses on health and environmental sustainability through participatory

“As We Grow” by Tyler Lee
In 2010, my brother and I founded
the Tallahassee Sustainability Group
(TSG), a community organization
which serves as a platform for
people to network with
sustainability advocates and
launch projects that enhance our
social, economic, and environmental
welfare. “As We Grow” is a short
documentary profiling some of our
work.
Social Sustainability
Over the last 5 years, it has been my
devotion to engage the Tallahassee
community with topics and projects
pertaining to sustainability. During
this time, I have:
• Launched 4 major initiatives;
• Agrinauts Training Program,
• Salvation Army Urban Farm,
• Florida State University
Campus Garden.
• Frenchtown Heritage Farmers’
Market
• Gave over 300 lectures to youth
and adults
• Hosted over a dozen
participatory planning events
• Gained over 1700 followers on
social media including Facebook,
Twitter, and Instagram

FARMERS MARKET PROMOTION PROGRAM

• Recruited over 20 dedicated organizers, planners,
artists, environmentalist, students, farmers, and more
to help push Agrinauts forward.
• Taught over 450 students about food, energy,
and the environment.
• Co-designed an outdoor classroom with the students
we taught, including edible landscape.
• Raised $35,000 in grant funds which help pay for
5 teaching/planning positions and summer internship
for students.

• Lead team of 11 Master’s in Planning students.
• Executed analysis of land-use using GIS.
• Performed economic analysis using census data.

learn what community gifts exist.
• Prepared weekly update presentation for our
Pasco County Long Range Planning Department.
• Created presentation for midterm, final, and
two open-house community events.
• Provided 3D modeling of redevelopment projects.
