I was responsible for the quality assurance and translation of texts from German into
English ranging between several hundred to several thousand words. The majority of
documents translated were in the fields of business and finance; they comprised, among
others, audits, annual budgets, financial reports, appraisals, contracts, strategic planning
documents and board meeting protocols for small companies and global corporations
alike. Among some of the regular key clients whose content I was responsible for
translating and editing were the leading German supermarket chains real- and Rewe, the
Kellogg Company, and the automotive companies Audi and BMW.

Translated and edited texts spanning across a wide spectrum of subjects, particularly
within the areas of finance, marketing and advertising, from German into English and

Successfully completed an advanced Master’s Degree in German. My thesis, which was
written in German, deals with the themes of decadence and aestheticism in Thomas
Mann’s classic novel Death in Venice.

Successfully completed all course requirements toward an Honors German Specialist
Degree. Outside of the degree’s specialization in literary theory, considerable focus was
placed on complex linguistic features of the German language, as well as on in-depth

INTERESTS I am an avid reader with an especially keen interest in the literary classics. I enjoy
independent European film and radio podcast documentaries. I recently wrote and
published my first novella entitled The Disconnect. I have previously been, and still
remain, recreationally active in the sport of gymnastics (tumbling). I have been heavily
immersed in sports from a very young age and enjoy a regular fitness routine that
includes strength, flexibility and resistance training. I am a happy-go-lucky type and
thrive in a creative and dynamic environment!
