I was responsible for the quality assurance and translation of texts from German into
English ranging between several hundred to several thousand words. The majority of
documents translated were in the fields of business and finance; they comprised, among
others, audits, annual budgets, financial reports, appraisals, contracts, strategic planning
documents and board meeting protocols for small companies and global corporations
alike. Among some of the regular key clients whose content I was responsible for
translating and editing were the leading German supermarket chains real- and Rewe, the
Kellogg Company, and the automotive companies Audi and BMW.

Translated and edited texts spanning across a wide spectrum of subjects, particularly
within the areas of finance, marketing and advertising, from German into English and
vice versa.

Proofread and edited texts for web publication geared toward enhanced company
presence on the internet. Among some of the types of texts I edited were those

Assisted former Swedish Ambassador to Finland and Professor Emeritus Krister
Wahlbäck personally in various projects involving the research and translation of
historical texts and documents pertaining to Germany and WWII from German into
English.
Translator, Editor and Language Consultant, University of Stockholm,
Department of German 2010-2012
Partook in numerous projects for the translation and editing of academic articles, essays
and theses written in German, English and Swedish for doctoral students and
professors from the University of Stockholm and other universities worldwide. Among
the enlisted projects was an extensive, year-long initiative that involved the
proofreading and editing of academic essays that were published in an annual German
literary compendium entitled: Begegnungen – das VIII. Nordisch-Baltische Germanistentreffen
in Sigtuna vom 11. bis 13.6 2009.

Edited essays on the subject of international diplomacy that were published in an
honorary book celebrating the life achievements of former Foreign Minister of Sweden,

EDUCATION University of Stockholm – Master of Arts German 2009-2012
Successfully completed an advanced Master’s Degree in German. My thesis, which was
written in German, deals with the themes of decadence and aestheticism in Thomas
Mann’s classic novel Death in Venice.
University of Toronto – Honors Bachelor of Arts German 2000-2004
Successfully completed all course requirements toward an Honors German Specialist
Degree. Outside of the degree’s specialization in literary theory, considerable focus was
placed on complex linguistic features of the German language, as well as on in-depth
discourse on the cultural, social and political aspects of German language and culture.

INTERESTS I am an avid reader with an especially keen interest in the literary classics. I enjoy
independent European film and radio podcast documentaries. I recently wrote and
published my first novella entitled The Disconnect. I have previously been, and still
remain, recreationally active in the sport of gymnastics (tumbling). I have been heavily
immersed in sports from a very young age and enjoy a regular fitness routine that
includes strength, flexibility and resistance training. I am a happy-go-lucky type and
thrive in a creative and dynamic environment!
