International Christian Fellowship church members and Curb-Tec Europe co-owner Chris Hutchinson have been working with the Kowalewo Children's Home in Poland for several years, organizing activities and providing gifts and equipment for the children. For St. Nicholas Day in December 2010, they arranged crafts, cookie baking, carol singing and gift giving for the children. Chris thanked his business partners for their logistical support in making the event possible.

Why is it EVERYTHING changes when you have kids? But seriously for the better. Life as a whole has more meaning. You look at your own parents through a new lense.

A.T. Kearney: GCC Family Businesses: Unlocking Potential Through Active Portf...Semalytix
Since 2008, times have been tough for family businesses. The antidote: tapping into hidden value.
Like families in general, family businesses seem to function relatively well in troubled times. In fact, many studies show that, in the long run, they perform better than other business models. Key factors for their ongoing success include a management perspective that emphasizes the long term, strong brand and family name recognition, and often a strong focus on the core business.1
But in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), family businesses are trending in the opposite direction.2 During the recent crisis, they have been less resilient than the rest of the economy despite a pre-downturn history of rapid growth and market dominance. Since 2008, the A.T. Kearney GCC Family Conglomerate Index has decreased by 60 points, while the Bloomberg GCC 200 Index has decreased by 40 points, a 20-point performance gap (see figure 1).3 After a tough 2008, GCC family businesses rebounded to some extent (as did the market), but this did not last. As the overall market has trended mostly up, family businesses have trended downward.

This slide set was used to help articulate a presentation on the workflow of a districtwide project to support Project Connect... the 1:1 computing initiative in the SJSD.
A key element of this project featured the student-curated "blogfolio" of all work products created within all courses. Edublogs Campus was employed as a tool for both a reflective, connective, working portfolio as well as any number of "presentation" portfolios that could be constructed along the way and at the culmination.
Developing products to meet particularly challenging requirements, ones that might be considered to require a “breakthrough” in at least one aspect, requires a different process, one that emphasizes systems engineering and the individual creativity and diversity of the product development team members. This process builds upon the legacy of the Skunk Works product team dynamic, and years of experience with clean sheet design development using diverse, multi-industry development teams.
Developed for presentation at US Census Bureau. Includes snapshots of NARA's Social Media properties (April 2011) and review of NARA Guidance on Managing Records in Web 2.0/Social Media platforms.
CT-3000 Demo for Warsaw ZDM, One Year On, May 2011Chris Hutchinson
We showcased the CT-3000 on one of Warsaw's main streets for the local road authorities (ZDM) one year ago. They were impressed with the speed and looked forward to seeing the curb one year later after going through a Warsaw winter before fully accepting extrusion curbing on city projects. We periodically checked the curb and it held up fine. We look forward to discussing future possibilities with ZDM now that our extrusion method has proven reliable, less time-consuming and therefore less expensive. We're very excited about upcoming prospects!!!

Curb-Tec Europe did a demonstration for guests from Estonia on 18 Mar. The CT-3000 small extrusion curb machine was used to pour a curb over 6 cm tall horizontal rebar. Despite having a less-than-inspiring experience with another manufacturer`s machine, the owners of Betoontoode and Tasandusvalu were pleasantly surprised with the performance of the CT-3000, especially the relationship between the quality of the curb and the simplicity of the machine. Discussions are underway regarding them buying a CT-3000 to be used for a project in Finland calling for rebar.

Hadj Ounis's most notable work is his sculpture titled "Metamorphosis." This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. 1. ICF Celebrating St. Nicholas Day at
Kowalewo Children’s Home, 4 Dec 2010
Sheri Torgrimson and International Christian Fellowship church members have
been working with the Director of “Dom Dziecka Kowalewo”, Marlena
Watemborska, for about the past three years to regularly make trips to
Kowalewo in order to spend time with the children there as well as helping with
organizing other activities for them in Warsaw, etc.
Curb-Tec Europe co-owner, Chris Hutchinson, and his wife Kasia have been
actively involved in this through ICF for approximately the past 18 months.
They would like to sincerely thank Decathlon Sports Megastore for the
discounts and free sporting equipment they provided for the kids. Chris would
also like to give a huge thank you to his business partner, Krzysztof Stroinski,
and one of his employees, Marek Swiecki, on their tremendous support with
logistics. It was no small thing and none of it could have been accomplished
without them and some wonderfully dedicated people. Thank You Everyone!!!
