CT-3000 Demo for Warsaw ZDM, One Year On, May 2011Chris Hutchinson
We showcased the CT-3000 on one of Warsaw's main streets for the local road authorities (ZDM) one year ago. They were impressed with the speed and looked forward to seeing the curb one year later after going through a Warsaw winter before fully accepting extrusion curbing on city projects. We periodically checked the curb and it held up fine. We look forward to discussing future possibilities with ZDM now that our extrusion method has proven reliable, less time-consuming and therefore less expensive. We're very excited about upcoming prospects!!!

Curb-Tec Europe did a demonstration for guests from Estonia on 18 Mar. The CT-3000 small extrusion curb machine was used to pour a curb over 6 cm tall horizontal rebar. Despite having a less-than-inspiring experience with another manufacturer`s machine, the owners of Betoontoode and Tasandusvalu were pleasantly surprised with the performance of the CT-3000, especially the relationship between the quality of the curb and the simplicity of the machine. Discussions are underway regarding them buying a CT-3000 to be used for a project in Finland calling for rebar.

The document discusses different types of tools, focusing on impact tools, rotary-impact tools, and rotary tools. It provides specifications for several jackhammer and pick hammer models, including the Sullair MK210, MK250, and MK31 jackhammers as well as the SK3, SK5, SK6, SK8, SK10, and SK12 pick hammers. All of the tools discussed are characterized as having high quality, minimal moving parts requiring little greasing, and ergonomic anti-vibration designs.
Slip Form Machine Presentation for General Directorate for Polish National Ro...Chris Hutchinson
This was part of a presentation we did for General Directorate for Polish National Roads and Highways (GDDKiA) to promote the pour-in-place curbing method using both extrusion and slip form machines of different sizes. This part of the presentation was done by Mr. Irzyniec of Dynapac Poland, who we have a very close working relationship with.
The document summarizes a job installing 140 meters of curb using a Curb-Tec extruder in Tampa, Florida over 6 hours. A crew of 5 people dug a trench, laid a chalk line, and used the Curb-Tec extruder to simultaneously form and install the curb while filling the trench, creating a seamless curb without cuts or special blocks. Photos show the results before and after, including a sloped end and control joint.
This job involved placing a temporary water barrier and drainage pipes alongside a newly opened road in Olsztyn, Poland to protect it from heavy rains. A 14-person crew used a 14x12 cm mold over 1400 meters. When roads are built, the excavation destroys roots and leaves the area weak until regrowth. As Poland develops infrastructure and roads for EURO 2012, temporary barriers protect sides until roots regrow to prevent erosion and road damage from water runoff.
The Curb-Tec crew installed a 1700m long temporary water barrier in Plock, Poland over 37 hours to prevent excess water from killing grass along a road during construction. Unlike a permanent curb, this barrier did not require trenching, rebar, or adhesive as it would later be removed. The crew used a rounded 15x15cm mold and minimal finishing since it was a temporary structure.
A Curb-Tec crew of 5 people used a CT-3000 extruder to lay approximately 140 meters of concrete curb over 4 hours in Lakeland, Florida in July 2006. Some hand forming was required on steep inclines, and excess concrete was reduced by piling up dirt. The document includes 27 photos documenting the job.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
