Beth McCoy is a batik artist born in Washington DC. She finds batik to be a lesson in patience, acceptance, and the importance of process as she continues experimenting with wax and dyes. Some of her artworks include a cityscape of Grenada seen from steep streets with the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background, a photo she took in Delhi of a mother and baby that she altered by changing the background, and a sunset scene in Ayarpani, India where the low sun blazed through clouds and mist rose from wet earth.
