read this kind of text, you might find it on my resume.
But when I saw the magic button "add portfolio" on your site submission form
- I decide to entertain you and create a little logofolio for you.
Why logo? Just because this is my favorite area of design, this it the initial
seed, from which the brand grows, and this is the best checklist for design
and creative skills.
I am crafting the logos for various industries, for big companies, and for
two-person driving business. I even have the successful projects in
destination areas branding.
Also, I have a useful naming skill, in most European languages, including
Slavonic, like Russian and Ukrainian. I even did excellent naming project in
Scandinavian language, but naming is a topic for a separate conversation…
So, I selected several logos from my portfolio, and divide this pile into various
sets, like iconic logos, logos with lettering or weird logos.

SEVASTOPOL CITY LOGO
Unofficial but popularly beloved logo for the Sevastopol city, a big sea
harbor with ancient history, placed on the Crimean peninsula.
Local habitats mean that Sevastopol is a «city of Russian sailors glory»
but this is very strange glory: two times in most famous battles, in
Crimean War in the 18ts century and Second World War in 20th this glory
Russian sailors were defeated with disgrace.
WHY THIS SYMBOL? I based my branding on neutral non-military and
understandable to any viewer associations. The core element is an old
ancient-Greece time anchor, who smiled at you.
The byline on this sample says SEVASTOPOL: I like this city!
For some gift production (especially for local guys) I developed a set of
little more aggressive bylines, because «merch must be sold» :)
WHY UNOFFICIAL? At that time in Ukraine, the destination branding was a
highly popular method of stealing budget money. Officials demonstrated
to the public some crap that cost millions and says «we do a lot of jobs,
expertizes and there is a result.»
So I did this projects in volunteer mode, just for beating the «official crap
version». Viewers' opinion is divided: young and progressive part of
inhabitants were exited, old Soviet peoples were angry.
I even had to get an unofficial prize from Sevastopol’s media, but by this
time the Crimea was occupied by the Russian fascists, and I do not
cooperate with the occupiers.
This logo used by some media and businesses by thiet own purposes in
unofficial way, like avatars, icons, tote-bags and tees.

REBRANDING OF CRIMEA
The unofficial and overhyped project which did not leave indifferent all the
inhabitants of the territory of the former Soviet Union and beyond,
everyone who ever rested in the Crimea and remembers what it is.
Branding must declare the core brand values, yes? - So I emphasized this
«values», but all of them are negative, as in real Crimean life. It an
anti-branding, made to make the official Crimean administration pay
attention to the real problems of the Crimea: bad infrastructure,
extremely low quality of service, dirty beaches, and highly overpriced cost
of the rest.
Its very subcultural projects, for people that have some soviet roots, but I
will try to translate it with conservation the maximum initial sense.
WHY SO BRUTAL? Guys, this message and graphics style reflects the
level of service. Ok, be prepared for most famous Crimean peninsula
brand messages:
Dick to you instead of comfort and service!
Dick to you instead of clean beaches!
Dick to you instead of cheap fruits!
Dick to you and pachlava!
This branding has 3 degrees of rudeness: with real «d-word» in the text,
one more with a decent allusion to «D-word,» and the last one, that was a
very descent and sea-rest oriented. But if you are a native Russian
speaking person - your mind will return you the initial meaning.
It was a great branding success. Enormous amounts of repost, views,
some interviews on TV, and online-media, sales of the contrafact tees and
mugs on the embankments of seaside towns, etc.
WHY I DID THIS? I have time, inspiration and a desire to try change
something in the area that I like

But when I saw the magic button "add portfolio" on your site submission form - I decide to entertain you and create a little logofolio for you. Why logo? Just because this is my favorite area of design, this it the initial seed, from which the brand grows, and this is the best checklist for design and creative skills. I am crafting the logos for various industries, for big companies, and for two-person driving business. I even have the successful projects in destination areas branding. Also, I have a useful naming skill, in most European languages, including Slavonic, like Russian and Ukrainian. I even did excellent naming project in Scandinavian language, but naming is a topic for a separate conversation… So, I selected several logos from my portfolio, and divide this pile into various sets, like iconic logos, logos with lettering or weird logos. You can transform this logo as you wish: make a string from it, or two tiers logo, or even change the color of containers — the logo will keep own readability.

LYTIUGA DESIGN DESTINATIONBRANDING-1 ©MikeLytiuga | www.lytiuga.com lytiuga.m@gmail.com SEVASTOPOL CITY LOGO Unofficial but popularly beloved logo for the Sevastopol city, a big sea harbor with ancient history, placed on the Crimean peninsula. Local habitats mean that Sevastopol is a «city of Russian sailors glory» but this is very strange glory: two times in most famous battles, in Crimean War in the 18ts century and Second World War in 20th this glory Russian sailors were defeated with disgrace. WHY THIS SYMBOL? I based my branding on neutral non-military and understandable to any viewer associations. The core element is an old ancient-Greece time anchor, who smiled at you. The byline on this sample says SEVASTOPOL: I like this city! For some gift production (especially for local guys) I developed a set of little more aggressive bylines, because «merch must be sold» :) WHY UNOFFICIAL? At that time in Ukraine, the destination branding was a highly popular method of stealing budget money. Officials demonstrated to the public some crap that cost millions and says «we do a lot of jobs, expertizes and there is a result.» So I did this projects in volunteer mode, just for beating the «official crap version». Viewers' opinion is divided: young and progressive part of inhabitants were exited, old Soviet peoples were angry. I even had to get an unofficial prize from Sevastopol’s media, but by this time the Crimea was occupied by the Russian fascists, and I do not cooperate with the occupiers. This logo used by some media and businesses by thiet own purposes in unofficial way, like avatars, icons, tote-bags and tees.

LYTIUGA DESIGN DESTINATIONBRANDING-2 ©MikeLytiuga | www.lytiuga.com lytiuga.m@gmail.com REBRANDING OF CRIMEA The unofficial and overhyped project which did not leave indifferent all the inhabitants of the territory of the former Soviet Union and beyond, everyone who ever rested in the Crimea and remembers what it is. Branding must declare the core brand values, yes? - So I emphasized this «values», but all of them are negative, as in real Crimean life. It an anti-branding, made to make the official Crimean administration pay attention to the real problems of the Crimea: bad infrastructure, extremely low quality of service, dirty beaches, and highly overpriced cost of the rest. Its very subcultural projects, for people that have some soviet roots, but I will try to translate it with conservation the maximum initial sense. WHY SO BRUTAL? Guys, this message and graphics style reflects the level of service. Ok, be prepared for most famous Crimean peninsula brand messages: Dick to you instead of comfort and service! Dick to you instead of clean beaches! Dick to you instead of cheap fruits! Dick to you and pachlava! This branding has 3 degrees of rudeness: with real «d-word» in the text, one more with a decent allusion to «D-word,» and the last one, that was a very descent and sea-rest oriented. But if you are a native Russian speaking person - your mind will return you the initial meaning. It was a great branding success. Enormous amounts of repost, views, some interviews on TV, and online-media, sales of the contrafact tees and mugs on the embankments of seaside towns, etc. WHY I DID THIS? I have time, inspiration and a desire to try change something in the area that I like — а не комфорт и сервис! decent «D-word» allusion to you instead of comfort and service!
