groups. Each group shall be
given a piece of cartolina and a
marker.
Here’s your instruction:
I’m going to give you the
pictures and your group will
identify who is the hero in the
given pictures. Here’s the
criteria of winning:

which are composed of the positive
traits other acts of heroism done by
Jose Rizal during his existence.
Here’s your directions:
1.) State the responsible deeds
that Jose Rizal have done.
2.) Express the labor of his
heroism, considering the actions of
Jose Rizal through writing against
the foreign colonialization.
3.) Write down the contribution
of Jose Rizal in the Philippine
History.
Next meeting, we will
discuss about the other legendary
heroes of our country. Read the story
in your book; “Philippine Literature,”
from pages 55 up to 60.

  • 4. Topic: The Life of Jose P. Rizal Reference: Book of Philippine Lit., (from pages 43 to 51). Instructional Materials: Pictures of Rizal in his younger years, cut-out landmarks of Rizal’s life, pieces of cartolina for visual aids, and a whiteboard marker. Value Integration: Students will understand how “simple deeds can be an act of heroism.”

Have you clearly understand the contribution of Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio in the Philippines? Okay, then. So we can now move on to our new lesson. Our lesson yesterday is all about the heroes of our country. The well-known heroes are Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio. Yes, Ma’am!
  • 7. * MOTIVATION: Class, I will divide you into two groups. Each group shall be given a piece of cartolina and a marker. Here’s your instruction: I’m going to give you the pictures and your group will identify who is the hero in the given pictures. Here’s the criteria of winning: Actual Answer - 25 % Speed - 20 % Cleanliness - 20 % Delivery - 15 % Cooperation - 10 % Behavior - 10 % for a total of : 100 % Is it clear? Good! You may start now. So why do we need to recognize the works of Jose Rizal when he was still alive? Are these deeds considerable enough for him to be acknowledged of the living people at present time? Why? Alright. Yes, Ma’am! Because he is a legendary part of our country’s history. Yes, Ma’am! If not because of Jose Rizal, the sacrifices he have done for our country, we would not commit the victory of independence against the colonialization of other countries.

In these sentences, there are the written descriptions about Jose Rizal. Are these descriptions suitable for him to be considered as the Philippines National Hero? Very good, students! There are some sentences written in the chart. The sentences are descriptions accordingly to a hero which we have read as the accounts of Jose Rizal, Ma’am. Yes, Ma’am! Because he have contributed so much for the Independence of our country.

He have 8 other siblings. There are 2 of them. Jose Rizal have 9 sisters.

Can you consider the characteristics of Jose Rizal as the Philippines’ National Hero? How? Okay. Good! Are those clear to everyone? So that we will acknowledged him and his sacrifices for the sake of our country. Yes, Ma’am. Because he posses a strong personality and he was brave enough to suffer those sacrifices for his fellow Filipinos. Yes, Ma’am!
  • 14. In a ½ sheet of paper, you need to construct five sentences which are composed of the positive traits other acts of heroism done by Jose Rizal during his existence. Here’s your directions: 1.) State the responsible deeds that Jose Rizal have done. 2.) Express the labor of his heroism, considering the actions of Jose Rizal through writing against the foreign colonialization. 3.) Write down the contribution of Jose Rizal in the Philippine History.
