Midori is a new operating system currently under development by Microsoft that is intended to replace Windows. It is an internet-centric, microkernel-based OS where applications and device drivers are written in managed code. Midori is centered around cloud computing concepts and stores user data on central Microsoft servers, removing the role of individual PCs.
