Michael Faraday was a British scientist born in 1791 in England who made significant contributions to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry through his discoveries of electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism, and electrolysis. He invented the Faraday cage and established Faraday's laws of electrolysis. Faraday died in 1867 in England at the age of 75.
