- 2. ▪ Became aMonarch PTA-authorized committee with a committed Chair! ▪ Met with Monarch Glen Burnie Principal, AACPS Charter School Rep, Monarch Board to garner support ▪ Established a “MHSN SchoolTour” Committee…and began tours in November 2014 (expects to finish by June 2015) ▪ Created an Online Petition, Facebook Page and has a pending website ▪ Working closely with Children’s Guild to think about what school design will work best for Monarch High School ▪ Created a MHSN Logo &T-Shirt (pre-orders begin tonight) ▪ Notified all Anne Arundel County elected officials and AACPS Superintendent/Board of Education, Director of AACPS Alternative Schools of the MHSN Initiative ▪ Tweeted Former Del. - 3. ▪ Establish acommunity (ground and online) presence…the more “signatures,” “likes and shares” and “hits” (on our website), the better ▪ Communicate frequently with AACPS Board of Education, Superintendent,AA County Executive & County Council Members about what we want…and when we want it…NOW! ▪ Meet with the AACPS Board of Education President, AACPS Superintendent, AA County Council Members and AA County Executive one-on-one ▪ Present/Testify at AACPS Board of Education Meetings, AA County Council Meeting…AND BE THERE IN LARGE NUMBERS! ▪ Work withThe Children’s Guild to design the scope of Monarch High School (this includes the school tours that are in process) WHAT “MONARCH HIGH SCHOOL NOW” MUST DOTO MOVETOWARDS SUCCESS!
