(All created after 1990 are developed in my own company)
There is a lot of projects behind me, but here I will indicate only the most significant 16,
belonging to areas of industrial electronics, automation systems, business information, Internet security, database
design, micro-controller embedded systems etc.
Most of these are realized as master(Windows or Linux)-slave (embedded system) in C++ and Delphi, some in C
and some in PHP/CSS/jQuery/JavaScript.
Projects
1 Transportable (small suitcase), integrated client-server solution for the isolated waste
collection stations (harsh, dirty environment).
Embedded Linux on ARM. Firebird DB server, SATA SSD, HDMI monitor, TouchScreen
Realized using Code-Blocks C++ IDE tool, wxWidgets GUI, DB server, Freescale I.MX-6
ARM cortex, wifi connection to the printer and to DB replication server.
Back office solution with Delphi on Windows. Data Base server on Linux.
Complete SDLC passed 3 times.
2013,2014..
.
2 Waste management bin Pick-Up & GPS tracking system, based on UHF RFID technology.
Embedded Linux on ARM, DbServer with customer data, SATA SSD, small I2c display.
Automatic Wifi connection to company server, to avoid any manual intervention.
Freescale I.MX-6 ARM cortex.
Development tool. Code-Blocks C++ , OpenSource interface to DB, UHF RFID Mercury M5
dual antenna RFID, RS232 conn.
GPS tracking, NMEA protocol, C++, multithreading, RS232.
2014...
3 Water Utility services SMS system, realized for the purpose of informing the users with
the problems in water supply. System is interactive, so every potential user, already known
to the system can apply with his ID.
Linux based C++ server solution realized with CODE-BLOCKS.
Server connected to SMS modem using AT command set using SMS/MMS and PDU
protocol. Modem is industrial Maestro 100 GSM.
2013-2014
4 Product with Electronic Guarantee “PEG”. A food QR-labeling system ...providing
authentication of the origin of food...to protect those producers that are able to proof the
origin of the food. Mobile devices oriented, multilingual.
QR label generation development with Delphi and Open-source libraries.
Web server part – PHP/CSS/jQuery/JavaScript.
2012-2014
3. Projects
5 Automation Level2 Product tracking throughout the rolling mill in aluminum industry. Product
tracebility. Integration to Level1 (PLC)
2011-2012
(contract)
6 Business information system in shipping and maritime activities.
DB, transaction oriented, with Database replication system in 5 Croatian cities.
Realized in Borland Delphi + XML exports/imports to the other subjects in a business chain.
1997-2014
(contract)
7 Process control at Waste collection/disposal site, Small SCADA and RFID Vehicle tracking
with automated in/out weighing.
The system has three parts:
a) Embedded industrial system based on Motorola micro-controller HC12. Bar metal RTOS
designed in my own. RFID amplitude modulation Manchester scheme.
Electronics solution, RFID band-pass filters, interface board, general I/O with opto isolation,
RS232 with galvanic isolation.
b) Linux based small SCADA station realized with QTv4.7 and interfaced
to Interbase/Firebird DB.
c) Client side applications – realized with Delphi
2004-2005
8 Commission to redesign emergency shutdown system TTC-Italy/NAOC-Nigeria. Applied on
General Electric FANUC-PLC. Redesign was needed because of partial reconstruction on
gas-oil field.
Great project when someone starts it from the scratch but very risky making upgrades on
the already running system.
2003
(contract)
9 Web PHP Authentication and Internet Payment system for MBU Zagreb, the biggest ATM
network in Croatia.
Authentication relied on PHPv4 and Oracle DB.
2001-2002
10 Redesign of Internet banking security, raising the level of security from 40bit PKI to
128bit PKI. (BPV Verona Italy).
There were request to substitute (online) the old PKI system already installed at 30000
internet banking users in their homes - with the new one, completely different. It was
necessary to generate a new set of certificates and install them on customer request.
The firs part realized with Borland C++ builder and MSDN library.
The second, using PHPv3 and CGI on Apache server.
The whole solution passed very hard and rigid, 2 month, banking test procedures made by
the third party company.
2000-2001
11 National Theater performance database archive containing all roles, actors, articles,
images. Very demanding database structure realized with MS Access/VBA included all
performances since the Second World War.
Client platform realized with Delphi3.
1996-1998
12 National Theater Ticket Reservation system. It was true GUI/DB containing audience
scheme with zooming, coloring of seats etc...
It was the first Version of VB3 capable to realize connection to Ms Access using ODBC
connection standard on Windows-3. In a later period switched to Win95.
1994-1995
13 National Theater, compact 32 channel x 5kW light-dimmer electronic as part of portable
systems for summer events.
1993/1994
14 National Theater Stage, 160 channel, Lighting System based on Amiga 500 RTOS
Development of electronics peripheral system in a Rack mounted case( internal bus with
euro connector 64 pin). Composed of a main unit and 10 peripheral Modules x 16 sample &
hold channels.
Main screen realized using Amiga windows system with objects called “gadgets”.
For the precise adjustment of lighting on the stage , one of engineers developed a special
device called Big Mouse. Developed in “C” with Aztec compiler by Manx Software
Systems. In over 10 years of working the system have never stopped in any single
performance.
1991-1992
15 8-channel telex system based on Motorola M6800 integrated to Digital VAX/VMS using
Rs232. Communication protocol was based on well known “Kermit”. Environment was
Amiga500 DOS. Developed in “C” with Aztec compiler by Manx Software Systems.
Development of the electronics interface, integrated to M6800 bus.
Development of Back office system. At first it was on VAX, developed with VAX “C”.
Later, Back office was moved to Windows95/net.
1984-1987
up to 2000.
