This presentation provides an overview of the history and current state of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). MGM was formed in 1924 and became one of the largest and most successful film studios in the world during Hollywood's Golden Age in the 1920s-1950s. While MGM filed for bankruptcy in 2010, it remains in business today focused on film and television production and distribution. It owns one of the largest film libraries and continues to license its content and intellectual property rights. The presentation discusses MGM's business segments including theatrical distribution, television distribution, and home entertainment distribution.
